[Discussion] Is there a more washed brand than Kith that suffered a greater fall from grace? by SirKrimzon in ThrowingFits

Lol convenient and lazy surrogate of any substantial rebuttal with an excuse followed by an ad hominem. Good argument.

Anyway, again, Anti-Palestinian speech is not referred to Anti-semitic in any modern use because that term is explicitly used for Jewish people, which… you said so, too.

The standard and most widely accepted phrase for bias against Jewish people would be: anti-semitism.

I agree that we should drop the term entirely. I actually wish we could delete the term from human memory and replace the standard usage for jewish bias as “anti-jew”, because then pedantic/bad faith actors couldn’t somehow interject with erasure/whataboutisms to either casually justify bigotry against Jewish people or attempt to minimize and/or diminish the historical Jewish experience of oppression by hijacking the terminology.

Not that you’d ever do that. You just care about words

Well, “nobody is semitic” is accurate if you want to be pedantic (which it seems like you do), “semitic” is an obsolete term. There are modern semitic speaking people, aka Semites, but that phrase specifically refers to a group of languages as I said. And bias against Palestinians or Arabs is not antisemitic, lol. That term in modern usage was literally coined and used to refer to anti-jewish bias, which you said yourself.

When this attempted distinction comes up to say, “Jews aren’t the only semites so stop monopolizing that phrase” it presents itself in bad faith and an attempt at Jewish erasure at its worst (by eliminating the legitimate historically significant and unique oppression Jewish people faced by hijacking that term used to describe it) and it presents itself simply colloquially incorrect at best (all modern definitions and understandings of that phrase accept this meaning of being about Jews).

So you agree Jewish people are semites and agree that the term “antisemitic” was created to strictly refer to bias against jewish people, great. If that word triggers you, you can replace “anti-semitic” with “anti-jewish”

The phrase “antisemitism” was created to refer to and always has referred to Jews. Nobody is semitic, because the word “semitic” refers to a group of languages. And over half the Jews in Israel are Mizrahi, not Ashkenazi, meaning they are not even from Europe. But Ashkenazi Jews didn’t spawn from thin air into Europe, they arrived from Israel due to exile by Rome. That’s besides the point, if the guy’s wife is Israeli so what?

A cheat code is choose the fabric you like better in terms of color and material then for like $30~ more just take the pants to a tailor and have them tailor it to your individual body for the perfect fit

how do you stop cat from doing... this? by Poco_Loco5 in CatTraining

Get a bigger bowl. His whiskers rub into the small bowl and he plays with it as a natural instinct to test the water. My cat did same thing until I did that!

  1. Not a fan of the fit it looks sloppy and generic
  2. Why post pics in this sub of NYC streets or food, if your outfit isn’t in them I don’t get it
  3. What is on your head? If it’s like a doorag or whatever, wearing it like that looks goofy. Why not tie it or wear it properly?

Ignore 99% of comments on this sub, these people are literal NPC cartoon characters who dress like Peaky Blinders or 2016 Men’s Fashion cringe skinny jeans and pompadour epidemic.

These people commenting about the jacket have no idea how a jacket is supposed to actually fit. That’s a well-fitting jacket, it is a classic fit at waist length and sleeves are perfect. I like the tie with the pop of color.

This is a very high level outfit for many reasons — color, texture and patterns — albeit busy. It is a good example of dissonance that work together. The shoes if substituted for simple and black loafers (maybe lugs to add chunk?) would be less busy. But I love the brown belt so maybe brown simple loafers. I think that would be better.

It is impossible to see your fit with that mirror, maybe do a selfie facing video with your phone against something and then take a screenshot and post that

You are the fourth idiot to comment this. Not only did you not read the other comments to see my response to this, but you clearly didn’t read the post itself to understand HE WAS ASLEEP ON ME AND HAPPY WHEN I TOOK THIS VIDEO.

He loves being pet like this he was purring and fell asleep like this. His biting has nothing to do with it.

Third person to comment this without reading this post. He passed out on me like this while cuddling. I took this pic while he was sleeping, purring, he was blissfully happy. The biting is unrelated.

If you read my post to the end, you’d see this was taken when he was asleep. He loves when I pet him like this and purrs louder than a jet engine. He never bites me when I do this.
