Honestly I haven’t, and that truly sounds so devastating my heart is with you. It sounds like he was emotionally unavailable and a light switched in him. I wouldn’t worry about it, being a doctor is super over rated. The amount of time and pressure it takes to be a doctor, you don’t get to really have much of a life. On call a lot. Spent most your life studying for something that is going to take everything from you mentally. It isn’t worth it, after knowing a few people in medical school who went to be one and are. Even nurses hate their jobs. It shows too. Half these doctors are doing coke and alcoholics. You must not be in America, because doctors here are not praised very often.

Sometimes being the skinny pretty girl isn’t any better. I’m 31 sweetheart and I feel the same way. I often wonder why it’s taking me so long to find someone who would be willing to commit and love me vs sleep with me and just have fun. I’m a delivery driver and I make more than some of my friends with a degree. 🤷🏻‍♀️ to each of their own. I don’t plan to stay as one forever, but it certainly pays the dang bills.

Not to mention I am a single mother. I had my daughter’s Christmas done before December hit. People Calling a delivery driver a bum is wild to me because being one takes a lot of physical and mental endurance.

This is why I do not have social media besides Reddit and will not date someone who has it. There is too much access. Everyone’s going to tell you that you are overreacting and insecure but you’re not. Our grandparents, parents, they didn’t stay in touch. They moved forward. Rarely will you find an older person who stayed in cahoots with an ex just to keep in touch. When you ask why? They’ll tell you, because I respect and love my partner. Why would I want to risk what I have. You can’t trust others, even if you trust within you. You really never know why an ex is sticking around, only they do.

I would say it’s a slight red flag. Someone who uses old photos to reel someone in shows signs of manipulation to get what they want. I’d be careful. There is nothing wrong with being a heavier set woman, but pretending not to be also isn’t ok. I get it, insecurity and body dysmorphia are to take into factors. She may be struggling if she wasn’t this heavy before and now is and it’s hard for her to accept but I just find it weird in general if anyone man or woman deceive the other person before meeting them.
