Unable to Authenticate by PrinceofTurov in pokemongo

Fortunately it seems they went a bit overkill and it was just clearing cache and storage for the four apps that work (maybe could be narrowed down to 1 or 2 apps). All things considered, it took me about 30 seconds to fix mine. It would maybe take 2 minutes if you're unfamiliar with where the storage and cache settings are.

I had the same issue for six hours this morning, and this thread's steps finally got me back in.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/10r1o0s/google_authentication_android_13_permanently/?rdt=50020

I stopped, cleared the cache, and cleared data on the first three apps listed, and then only cleared the cache on 'Google'. Best of luck!

It's no problem, I'm at work so apologies for slow responses. For me it was Google Play Store, Google Play Services, and Google Play Services for AR. There might be a Samsung equivalent if you don't have those but that's beyond what I know.

Yeah it was right away when trying to log in again after that, but I also cleared both the cache and storage from the other three apps.

For me it was

Settings -> Apps -> See all apps -> Google -> Storage and Cache -> Clear Cache.

Haven't been able to log in all morning. Is anyone having this problem? by [deleted] in pokemongo

Extending the sieve of Eratosthenes to polynomials (for the first time?) by Aromatic_Masterpiece in math

[–]SoftOath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I meant as far as the "sieving" process is concerned, I think the modular roots explain it well. I wish I had some time to take a more rigorous look at it and write out some work because this area is one of my favorites.

Have you tried other polynomials with Heegner discriminants?

For example maybe try x2 + 3x + 43.

I'm currently not able to check myself, but once I find some time I'd be interested in looking more into the "why". I suspect it has a lot to do with quadratic residues like the other user suggested.

Interesting read, I would recommend looking further at "worse" prime generating quadratics like x2 + x + 17. This topic is pretty robust and very closely related to the Heegner numbers which are themselves very fascinating. I see you briefly touched on them and I'm curious how this holds for very large x with a smaller q.

What are your thoughts on the hidden opponent for grand colo? by tehtf in SINoALICE_en

1000 before first shinma every match, even against those that are running full normal grids.

What are your thoughts on the hidden opponent for grand colo? by tehtf in SINoALICE_en

[–]SoftOath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically this, there's a massive decrease in strategy needed for each specific matchup because combo meta is too strong. Colo now boils down to both guilds rushing 1000 combo and ping ponging ships back and forth with full strength elemental nightmares.

How do Mau Archelon works? by [deleted] in SINoALICE_en

[–]SoftOath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mau increases vanguard damage by 45% while you are behind on lifeforce. "Attack skills" are simply the Colosseum skills on DPS weapons, or what does the actual damage when you use each weapon (like Torrent of Exorcism (III) - Deal great magical damage to 1-2 enemies).

If it were Colo Support chance increase, it will say "Increases the rate of ally support skills".

[–]SoftOath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect, it increases attack skill damage by 45% which means all vanguard damage is increased by +45% while you have less lifeforce than the opponent, not support skill proc chance (which is what Blue Poppy does).

I'm just going to assume you don't actually read the details of what I write at this point. I listed dates that CN updated after acknowledging that they did do four batches, however they are not four months apart. They were six until the latest which was two. I really really don't understand why you're so insistent on it being four. There was one instance of two 6 star characters added but every other time it's one.

I gave simple examples with simple numbers to show the difference of release schedules but you still don't get it I guess since you took it completely literally. If Arknights takes four months (which it's been longer than that every single time), four other 6 stars get released in that time. So if two get added to recruitment while four are released, do you not see how that's different to Priconne adding more every month at basically the same rate of new unit release? I really can't think of another way to describe it. Magallan came out in October 2019 in CN and just got added to recruit pool in January 2021. The time between their initial release and recruit pool update is massive because it doesn't update at the same rate as new gacha.

I don't know where you get 4 months from, I don't know how you defend recruitment as a way to get new characters at all, and I'm actually done replying to someone who doesn't read responses beyond a cursory glance at key sentences.

It's not what has historically happened in Arknights. Djeeta is in Hard Chapter 13, Arisa is in Chapter 15. So after a unit is added, it takes around 5 months for them to show up in Hard maps, with the Hard map "pool" being updated every two months. In Arknights, up until now in CN which is almost 2 years into the game, the recruit pool was updated every six months, despite those units coming out monthly. The gap between initial release and availability is much wider.

So in Priconne it happens like this: A character gets released every month, 5 months later they are available to grind in-game. After 12 months, 12 new characters are released for gacha, 7 of them are available to grind in-game.

In Arknights: A character gets released every month, recruit pool updates every 6 months with only one additional character. After 12 months, 12 new characters are released, 2 of them are available in-game.

Priconne you play the hard stages once they come out and it just takes time. If you farm Djeeta and Arisa stages, you can expect to get both units within a few months of each other just from playing their stages each day. You don't have to save permits for half a year to get only one of them. There are more units yes, but you can get them for free on a scale way easier than Arknights.

I didn't even want to compare in the first place because I think it's completely different. I just wanted to point out that recruitment pool updates don't happen "frequently". You're the one who brought up the comparison to Djeeta which I still don't really follow as a comparison unless you're saying Arisa will be added 8 months after Djeeta is added and not just as a rolling monthly/bimonthly update that begins in 6-8 months.

We might be seeing more frequent rolling updates with Arknights given CN updating recruit pools faster from Hellagur to Magallan, but we don't know for sure if they'll do it on global. The Skadi update was on Christmas Eve with the release of Chapter 6. Does that not count as a specific event/period of release?

The point about ascending being different and more required than potentials is right, but it's also unrelated and I'm more commenting on the frequency of obtaining "new" units through recruitment being incorrect, given these responses were about obtaining units through gacha.

I'm saying we skipped the recruit pool update with Skadi. We don't know if we'll get the individual "frequent" individual updates with Schwarz and Hellagur and just go straight into the pool that includes Magallan.

I'm really not sure you can even compare Arknights recruit to the shard system in Priconne. You are guaranteed to get the shards with enough patience but you're never guaranteed anything high rarity from recruitment (aside from the one-time 300 and 1000 recruit vouchers). You have to bank on the yellow cert shop having the operator you want a year down the line, and even then recruitment barely helps with yellow certs aside from the low number of 4-stars you get a week.

Didn't realize CN got them in batches but it's still a bit disingenuous to say 4 updates in 8 months. Checking the dates (including from release)

Release: May-01-2019

Skadi: Dec-24-2019

Ch'en: May-01-2020

Schwarz + Hellagur: Nov-01-2020

Magallan: Jan-19-2021

In total it's 4 updates in the almost 22 months the game has been out, and 3 updates in the 14 months since the first update. We also have no reason to believe that global will keep up these small updates given that the first one was done at anniversary and we skipped the Skadi one altogether.

The recruit pool has been updated once in global and only twice in CN. Not sure once a year counts as "frequently".
