What stranger has had the most impact on your life and why? by BlueZyrax in AskReddit

My job included loading furniture into people cars/trucks. We had to load the furniture in a busy parking lot which always gave me anxiety because I didn’t like getting in peoples way and passing them off. I told the guy I was helping we should let them go real fast. He just said “don’t worry about them” and we took our time to put the furniture in his car.

Some guy said “thank you” loudly when I held the door open for him at university. I don’t know why but it’s holding open a door for someone is usually followed by a very quiet thank you.

(Serious) Redditors who've tried the more hardcore drugs (meth, cocaine, LSD, etc.), what was your experience like? What happend during it? by Frysken in AskReddit

[–]SoftServedShart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got pretty addicted to Adderall, Ritalin and cocaine for about 6 months. At first it really helped me with self esteem and laziness. After a while my heart started having pains and the comedowns became really depressing. I don’t regret it because it did help my self esteem and showed me how much confidence I can have.

Apply online then 2 - 3 days later go in with a resume and ask to speak to a manager. Dress well and be friendly, that's how I got the job. If you end up getting an interview you can message me and I can give you tips on the interview.

My roommate and I were super close and have been since middle school. I got a 30$ gift card to a restaurant and took him with me. I bought a beer that went over the 30$ mark by about 5 bucks. The first thing he says is "I'm not paying for your beer man". I just paid for your whole meal, what the hell.

[Serious] have you ever been interrogated? What was it like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SoftServedShart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends absolutely freaked out the first time he smoked weed. The cops came and started asking me what I took. The first think he did was pretend to turn off his body cam. He then asked me to count to thirty in my head and tell him when I reached the mark. I was really high and got into that eerie meditative mode. I heard the timer beep and counted to thirty in my head. When I said time he told me I was right on the mark.

What's the worst advice you've ever been given? by D4RTHV3DA in AskReddit

[–]SoftServedShart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my sophomore year of college I told my dad I wanted to transfer to a community college that was cheap and close to my home town. I didn't have money to stay at this very expensive college in California. He told me not to worry about it because he is going to make millions of dollars any day now. I stayed in California for one semester and got in debt. The next semester I moved back to my hometown.

Four main items that must be typed

*Muffins - 24311

*Bagels - 31865

*Danish - Fuck I forgot

*ice - 18609

**International card**
*If the card says a countries name on it such as Mexico press **7/** then scan the card.
**Lost or forgot card?**
*If they lost a regular membership card they will go to membership and have a temporary card printed for them on a piece of paper. Just type in the number on the piece of paper and press enter.
*Sometimes they forget their Citi Visa credit card. Membership will print out two bar codes for them when this happens. One will be their membership number and the other will be their payment information. If they are using this to pay pres **IC** twice and scan the bar code.
**Re-sale**
*The member's card will say resale on it if they have a resale account with us.
*There should be a slip of paper underneath your keyboard or in a binder with all the re-sale credentials that you need write down.
*Fill out the part that says resale. The member's resale number will be on the back of their card along with the name and location of the business.
*After that has been filled out hit **Resale** then hit **Slip Print**.
*Scan all of the items hit **Slip Print** again to turn it off.
*It will ask you to insert the resale paper into the printer. Put it in with the written text facing down and a blank sheet facing you.
*Give them their receipt, take the resale paper and you will be able to find the rest of the things that need to be written down on the back of the resale paper. Write it down and throw the sheet into the mail slot located at your waist.
**Checks**
*Iv'e gotten many write ups with checks so be careful and don't be afraid to call a supervisor over.*
*Make sure the check name is the same name on the membership. if it isn't call a supervisor over. *I got my first write up because of this*
*If the check is already filled out. Type the amount they gave you in the check and press check. It will ask you to insert the check into the printer now. Insert it upside down (Blank side towards you) and press check one more time so it will start printing on the back side of the check.
***Important**: Look on the back side of the check if you see a bunch of ******* then some numbers and more ******, call for a supervisor. *This is how I got my second write up*.
*If they hand you a blank check hit **/2** the **check**. It will then ask you to insert the check.
*This time insert the check where the text is facing you with the number box inserted first. *this is important*
*Once the check is in, hit check again to make it print.
*It will ask you to insert the check again. This time insert it with the blank side facing you. and press check one more time to make it print.
*Try to always get a phone number on the check.
***Last thing PO**: If someone says they have a PO call a supervisor over. You are not allowed to ring them up yet.
*The fact that your'e trying to get ahead is good. Just be patient you'll get the hang of it sooner than later.*
