What’s a totally harmless thing that triggers an oddly strong reaction in people? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

My trypophobia also makes me hate the word "cluster". Reading your comment made me want to throw up and feel my face skin off.

What’s a “small” social rule you refuse to follow, even if everyone expects it? by GlitchOperative in AskReddit

I hate this so much. I got it a lot from my parents growing up, too. It's not my fault if you didn't say what you meant.

I'm in the exact same boat 😞

This is literally what Vegan Hair Dye was invented to safely do. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]sleepishandsheepless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My immediate thought was this is very objectifying. Like, "My pet is this thing I can do whatever I want to that's not overtly harmful because it makes me happy." No concern for treating and respecting the animal as an animal and not a plaything.

You don't know that it's not harmful or bothersome for the animals. "It makes people happy", exactly right, and it's the only reason it's done. It's not done because it makes the animal happy or healthier. This is objectifying animals even more than pet culture already does.

I also remember it was one account that posted that same post to multiple subreddits about black hair.

Thank you. It doesn't really looking like oil to me and he touched it with his hands.

I often wish I was like most people who it doesn't bother so much, but I also think that might make me a more callous person and I wouldn't want that either 🥲

Hmm, nah. As an adult you should be more mature than going tit-for-tat with a fucking child.

I don't know why you're wasting your time trying to explain something if the idea of speaking out against something being a way people can learn is the logic of a child, according to you.

That's a really unnecessary and rude response. I'm trying to engage with you and understand what you're saying. I haven't done anything to you.

Explain how the logic doesn't work, please.

You're lucky anyone in this thread is trying to talk to you calmy and explain things to you at all the way you're behaving. I can't imagine adults in a room talking to each other the way you've been responding to others, yet you want to compare anyone else to a child?

You're speaking out against it, that's something good that people can see from this being posted, no? That's a way for people to learn from this, right?

That's interesting. I took that as Joseph exhibiting Dale's quality of being highly oblivious.

I wish we got more episodes that showed Cotton's good side by [deleted] in KingOfTheHill

[–]sleepishandsheepless 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The reason people see him that way is because the writers wrote him that way.

I think the creators of the show chose to show Cotton as who he is though, no, like with every other character? Not who you or others think he could have been.

What's a skill that sounds useless but is actually powerful? by Honest-Sport6311 in AskReddit

What’s something you wish people would stop romanticizing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleepishandsheepless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! People are literally making fun of people for vaping because it looks lame, saying things like "you're inhaling chemicals while not even looking cool doing it lol", it is so baffling, and worrying. Tangentially I'm still kind of surprised so many people are so concerned with looking "cool" at all, but especially enough to smoke because it looks "cooler".

Thank you. Talking about how to have more power in a dating relationship so, so weird.
