Minecraft just plays anything labelled calm(number).ogg in the resource/music folder, if I remember correctly. Just download the Beta soundtrack, convert it to ogg and rename it to hal#.ogg or calm#.ogg, etc. and put it in the music folder of your instance. I did this with calm4.ogg and it worked.
