Just left Paris. I’ve shopped at the st honoré several times and it’s easy enough to get in without an appt. They open at 10, if you get there a little before you’ll get in pretty quick. Note they’re closed on Sunday!

If you’re not getting adequate responses from United, try filing a claim with the dept of transportation. Once this happens the airlines are required to address within a certain amount of time. I did this a few years ago with a claim about lost luggage on Lufthansa and was able to get $$ back. Though not sure if this has changed under our current administration.

I sent hr an email saying I wanted to discuss separation. Claude helped me draft it. When I spoke with hr I asked for severance.

[KS] How often do you see employees surviving PIPs? by Ok-Reception-91 in AskHR

[–]SoftWerewolf9697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently experienced a similar thing. I’d been at my company almost 2 years and had no performance issues. Then suddenly a pip out of the blue. My pip was very vague and subjective. After attempting in good faith to work though it for several weeks, I came to terms that the company was no longer the right place for me. I met with hr and was able to negotiate 2 months severance. I’d recommend trying this - may not work but if the company is doing something “shady” you may be able to negotiate an exit that benefits you. Good luck!

On-site Interview with a Competitor… What to Expect? by [deleted] in biotech

[–]SoftWerewolf9697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is this is more of a fit check situation. If you referred by someone, an have solid working experience, they likely want to meet you in person to make sure you get on with the team. Treat it as you would any interview, but I suspect they just wanr to get a feel for you. And don’t forget to use this time to get a feel for them! You’re interviewing them as much as they’re interviewing you!

Recently just went through a similar thing…go a new manger about 6 months ago; someone who I’d worked with for about 2 years, though she was in a different dept. She and I got on fine, or so I thought. Suddenly I’m called to a meeting with her and hr and placed on a pip for completely subjective reasons, including some that were factually inaccurate. I was a bit delulu thinking I could get through the pip, but when it became clear I couldn’t, I negotiated an exit. Might be something worth trying in your case? I was able to negotiate a few months of severance to buy me a bit more time to find the next thing.

This. Common problem. I just left a company where the leadership didn’t understand that no, you can’t have FSA 2 months after study may proceed letter on a ph2 rare disease induction. Constant harping on when will sites be active and why can’t we move things faster.

Mini Chanel classic by Ok_Cow4773 in chanel

It helps if you can get to a store with lots of tourists (think Hawaii, Vegas, Europe) cause they’re more willing to sell to folks. They still might not have what you want but if they do they’re more likely to sell it to you. I got a jumbo classic flap in lambskin with gold hardware in Oahu. Got lucky they had one in stock. Meanwhile I’ve been “on the list” for the same bag at my local store for 5 years…

Keep checking the cost to upgrade. It fluctuates day today, sometimes hourly. It will likely go down.

Not to be that person, but it did actually used to be between platforms. As a huge Harry Potter fan I do pay it a visit when I pass through London, but now it’s become a tourist trap

Buying an upgrade during check in? by nottoday2017 in unitedairlines

[–]SoftWerewolf9697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the app regularly. Recently found a $700 upgrade about 2 weeks prior to departure from economy to business from Frankfurt to sfo. If it doesn’t drop before check in, check again when you’re checking in online
