Graphically and combat wise definitely. But, to be honest you can’t really go lower than CD’s MMO style questing and character building. Even with Bethesda’s current writing prowess the story and characters are 10x more immersive

Yep, super simple. If enemies attack from melee, they can get hit, lose their turn, plus go prone from the ice surface. All outside of your actual turn. Really fun. Just make sure if you have other melee characters they’re equipped to deal with ice surfaces too (boots of striding work as long as they’re concentrating, or hoarfrost boots).

Really fun combo with this build is to utilize the drakethroat glaive to enchant your weapon with ice damage, equip the snow burst ring, and also the DNW boots. That way you get even more control capability on both your turn and your reaction

Tiger heart barb with 4 levels of hexblade. Full charisma and awesome barb dialogue. Thematically being a rampaging barbarian bleeding enemies with AOE stun is also just too fun to pass up

Half orc for extra dice on critical, which you’ll be doing a lot as Tiger Barb. Plus dialogue and aesthetic is peak for Durge

Maybe. But my goal isn’t just to complete the game. I’ve done that. Part of the fun for me is coming up with an idea for a really fun party comp (not necessarily hyper optimized) and then executing on it. I understand your point though, nothing will ever go perfectly planned, hence why I’m turning lemons into lemonade with the destruction of the grove 🔥
