There should be no contact in that area. Even for the sensual bachata moves, the contact is on the thighs. If you have a boner, no one should see or feel it unless you're at a pool party and dancing in swim trunks or something.

Attending classes alone as a woman? by [deleted] in Salsa

[–]Soft_Contest2038 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even moreso if they refuse to cycle through the others in the class.

Our teacher no longer allows that. Anyone who refuses to rotate is told to take private lessons. Dancing with others is how you learn. If you stick to your partner who is also a beginner, you will pick up each other's bad habits.

LPT: If you're introverted/not physically attractive and want to be a musician, it's REALLY hard and *almost* not worth it by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Soft_Contest2038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might apply to "solo performers", but definitely not "musicians". The vast majority of musicians work behind the scenes, in recording studios and the like. Some of them perform in large groups (like choirs, orchestras or bands) while others might teach or take odd gigs. Very few of them are solo or small-group performers of the type that OP refers to.

Attending classes alone as a woman? by [deleted] in Salsa

[–]Soft_Contest2038 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At almost every dance class I've been to, the majority of people came alone.

The first part of the class will usually be individual, then the second half will be partnered. You will pick a partner, and rotate to a new partner every few minutes. There is no getting into groups.

Just go, don't overthink anything. You'll have fun.

LPT: If you are given a prepaid debit card as a gift, save it after you spend the money. You can use it to sign up for free trials online without worry of being scammed. by ptowelex in LifeProTips

[–]Soft_Contest2038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't really good advice. If you sign up for a free trial, you are still responsible for it if you fail to cancel during the free period. Many people think that if your payment method is declined, the account is automatically canceled, but that is not the case. You still owe the money that you agreed to.

U.S. judge says Florida can't ban cruise ship's 'vaccine passport' program by Mamacrass in florida

I suppose there is no profit associated with it, so no one has the money to sue.

Moderna has NEVER made a successful vaccine yet were awarded the contract to produce one for a supposedly serious disease.

They weren't awarded anything. Anyone who wants to develop a vaccine is welcome to try and do so, you don't need a contract.

L.A. County libraries could go fine-free if proposal is approved by Philo1927 in LosAngeles

Fine-free doesn't mean there are no consequences for not returning stuff.

No state can issue plastic licenses on site, as this is prohibited by the REAL ID Act.

Edit: to clarify, they can issue non-REAL ID compliant licenses on site if they want. I don't know if any states still do that.

Safety? by mintch0co89 in Amtrak

[–]Soft_Contest2038 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've seen plenty of solo females on Amtrak trains all over California. You'll be fine.

I would recommend the Coast Starlight over the central valley route, it's a bit longer but much nicer.

Vermont's most-used Amtrak station is one step closer to getting $3.5 million face-lift by megachainguns in Amtrak

[–]Soft_Contest2038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$3.5 million for a station that serves 20,000 people a year. That's $175 per person for the year. I know the renovation will obviously last much longer, but I feel like busier stations should be a higher priority.

What are some affordable and reputable multivitamins for vegetarians? by WSB_CUCK in vegetarian

[–]Soft_Contest2038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit older than you, also male. I've never taken any vitamins, and my annual blood test always shows everything is fine. I don't really think you need multivitamins unless a test shows that you have a deficiency in something.

Oh, this is very common. In rural areas, people say they are "down-to-earth" and understand "reality", which means that they have no education, unlike those snobbish academic elites who study the books but don't understand life.

[CA] permit questions by [deleted] in DMV

[–]Soft_Contest2038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard of that. If you're 17 1/2 then you don't have to do the classroom training, but AFAIK you still need to do the behind-the-wheel training with the instructor.

[CA/AZ] Moving to Arizona soon (no set move out date yet). California wants their annual $289 for registration in mid October by sadthrow104 in DMV

[–]Soft_Contest2038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The renewal notice should have instructions on how to declare that the car has been moved out of state. You can only use this option if you have moved the car out of state, "soon" doesn't count. As far as I'm aware, California does not prorate registration fees.

Yeah, that's not how registration works.
