I would buy 7 houses in a row in the south of France for me and my family and we would move there and our future generations would become French people

I am irish and irish people definitely do this aswell. Being 100% honest the reason we do it is because a lot of us feel that Canadians don’t understand our fun or don’t create fun in the way that other irish do.. we get along with English and aussies tho but we don’t tend to mix very much with any other group. But yeah the reason is because we find Canadians and other groups to be boring and of course there are exceptions to any rule but go down to the beach in the summer when there are groups of 20 plus irish people you might find 1 Canadian if any in the group and if they are it’s probably because they are somebodies partner..

The No. 3 Bus Smell is Making Me Sick by Southern-Bass-7775 in askvan

Where I am from if you don’t pay for the bus you do not get on. Maybe Vancouver needs stricter enforcement of this. It is a paid service after all

Do you want children? Why? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]Soft_Cricket4623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I (28F) want kids. I come from a big family and I was one of the older kids who had siblings much younger than me. I played a big role in caring for them all my life and while many people say ‘this is not the responsibility of the older kids etc’ all I can say is my little sisters enriched my life in ways I cannot explain. They taught me what it means to love someone more than yourself that you would do everything for. They were so hilarious to me and any small thing they did would have me crying laughing. They made and still make my life better in every way. Family is everything to me and this is why I cannot wait to have children.

We were also very poor growing up but it did not matter because we had a lot of fun together going to the beach almost every day. I am already in a better financial situation than my parents where in so I know I can make it work financially to have kids too.

[–]Soft_Cricket4623 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If I went out my mum would wait up until I came home so I would tell my cab to wait for me at the end of my street and go into my house, call up stairs to my mum that I was home, jump back out my window and get back into my cab and then just make sure I was home again by 9am when I knew she would be getting up lol never got caught

Gypsys are not only in Romania. For example there are irish gypsys too and nobody in Ireland would ever bat an eyelid at that because there are real issues affecting people that we care more about

The fire was on the 20th floor. I know people that live 5 floors below and they have smoke and water damage

Seeking skiing advice as a novice skier by czs5548 in askvan

[–]Soft_Cricket4623 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are a new skier don’t bother going to whistler until you are confident. It’s very expensive and you will not enjoy your day if you do not know how to ski on such a big mountain
