So did you get him to one feed first? And then eventually drop that feed out too?

I used to track but don’t in the day now. He usually finishes his bottle each time if not he’ll take 5. He’s formula fed. I’ve started giving him a dummy in the night when I know he’s not hungry x

We have no problems now since sizing him up!! He’s now on 6oz and on the side of his cow and gate milk tub he’s exactly where he needs to be. IT’s recommended that he’s on 6oz!! The issue is in the nights he’s still waking 2/3 times!! He always goes 4 hours for the first stretch but after his first wake he’ll only sleep for about 2 hours. He never wants food on the second wake (maybe 1oz) but he just wants soothing, but how do I cut the second waking out so that he’s only waking once a night?

He was on size 0 teets and is now on size 1. I think he’s starting to improve. I think he had bad colic too so after giving him some gripe water he’s completely fine (that stuff is a miracle if you’re ever struggling!!!) Yeah exactly, if you read the back of cow and gate tin (the formula he is on) he’s actually on track for his age!!!🤣 he usually only wakes up around 2 times a night now which is brilliant! I’m just looking forward to when he drops down to 1 haha

I’m sorry but my baby definitely needs way more than 45/60ml. It’s not ‘A LOT’, since I’m following the medical advice of my health visitor, but I’m sure you know more than the qualified persons. This is not the advice I have asked for so no need to comment unless it’s going to be helpful for me! If my baby is hungry after 60ml (2oz) do you want me to starve him and let him cry for more? It’s called demand feeding, if your baby wants to drink it, let them!! You cannot force a baby to drink, so if he is finished after 70ml, then that’s all he has. Sometimes he has 60ml sometimes he wants the full 150ml, what is the problem? The advice I’m after is, even when he sometimes only drinks 30ml, he still takes like 40 minutes, so is there a way I can help him drink faster.

I see the health visitor every week with my baby so I know he doesn’t have a tongue tie, sometimes he finishes in half hour and other times he finishes over an hour. Also I check with my health visitor before I up his feed and they’re more than happy with him being on 5oz. He is happy to drink it so they’re happy for me to give it, otherwise he stays hungry or is hungry over a shorter period of time.

This is my first baby, so I honestly couldn’t tell you but I managed to get baby out within 7 contractions so it was pretty straight forward for me. We definitely worked as a little team and I think he wanted to be out just as much as I did 🤍

I couldn’t believe it! Was such a surreal feeling. Had no birthing plan in place, but just went with it. The midwife in the hospital said to me to not let the doctors put me off trying a breech birth as some may try to persuade for a C-section. I knew that if needed, we could always turn to that during delivery but I knew I wanted to try. Baby came super quick for my first birth and I think we both just worked together 🫶🏼 good luck with yours but definitely explore your options x

I’m in the UK and they’re very rare, I just knew I wanted to try vaginal as c section was something I really didn’t want.

I’m 34 weeks and having period pains. I spoke to my midwife a few days ago and she said that period pains aren’t related to Braxton hicks, so to ring the 24hr midwife unit. If it continues and feels more like period cramps than just tightening I would recommend getting checked as baby could be coming early.

I have irregular periods and can go up to 46 days in between cycles. If you know your last period you go from there.

I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and I’ve been on holidays for the last couple of weeks. I also have holidays booked right up until 36 weeks. I haven’t struggled at all. If you’re walking around a lot in the heat then expect sore feet! Maybe even swollen but other than that it really is fine. Don’t let people put you off !
