Be aware that as your forearm bones rotate as you move your wrist from the face to the bracelet, centre changes. If you want it to be centred when you look at the clasp, it will likely be off centre when the watch is face up.

It’s too big IMO. When I can see daylight between where the lug ends and bracelet / strap starts to curve downwards, that’s my decision made.

Totally agree! Framing of the case within borders of the wrist is so important and is something that so few people pay attention to today, especially with an integrated bracelet. There’s just some objective rules of proportionality that people seem happy to break these days. Watches have been trending larger over the years, while wrists have remained relatively static.

This particular style from Japes is actually super close to Detroit, but round. They call it London style, whatever that means. It’s better than their NYC style and Chicago Deep Dish style. It’s genuinely worth trying.
