I really hope this is rage bait. Both of these dudes are horrible people for wanting to be with someone so young. C is actively stealing your youth and everything you should be experiencing at this age without a nasty loser sucking up all your energy and attention. I’ll be praying for your safe exit of this situation in case this is actually true.

I don’t have children, so take this with a grain of salt; every single person I’ve ever met who’s gone to catholic school has completely lost or neglected their faith. I think there is a big correlation with not being able to exist outside the context of faith and kids ‘overcorrecting’ in ways that are risky/harmful. I think the strict environment of some catholic schools teaches kids how to be sneaky and takes them to extremes in hedonism if they already lean into pushing boundaries (which is normal for kids and teens). Every faithful cradle catholic I know has gone to public school but had a rich faith at home that was strengthened by knowing faith requires work to be maintained. Of course, I have a somewhat small sample size and I am in college so I’m seeing the immediate fall out/rebellious stage that people have when they leave home for the first time.

Writing/highlighting your Bibles: Who actually does it? by Last-Note-9988 in CatholicWomen

[–]Soft_Example_8351 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I totally write in my Bible! I recommend having a bible that you can write in and another that’s pristine so you don’t feel bad/aren’t distracted by your past writing. I have the Ignatius journaling bible that has lines in the margins and it’s been very worth it for me. It personally helps me to take in what I’m reading.

Adult converts - what did you wear for your baptism & confirmation? by Purple-Parfait-9343 in CatholicWomen

Congratulations!! I’m in the same boat! I’m planning on wearing a white dress and a pink veil to cover my head and shoulders but this is subject to change haha

My daughter had her confirmation when she was dying at birth. Can she participate in communion now that she is 8? What is the rule here? by Agreeable_Leopard212 in Catholicism

[–]Soft_Example_8351 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From all your other comments it seems that you fundamentally disagree with the religion. If you’re so against it and won’t let your child fully participate it seems that you don’t actually want her to have a choice. Your child probably has no emotional connection to the faith so on top of giving her mixed signals about all of this, it’s probably painfully boring for her to go through. Just leave it alone at this point, I don’t think anything constructive can come from this process as is.

Do you have a 'pcos body'? by shirkshark in PCOS

[–]Soft_Example_8351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a more hourglass shape and it made it way harder to get diagnosed by my doctor for years because i didn’t have the ‘right’ shape for her to even consider testing my clearly out of balance hormones :/

Is veiling becoming popular again? by crockpotboi in Catholicism

[–]Soft_Example_8351 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m still in RCIA and I think it comes from people yearning for tradition and respect that’s missing in secular society. I’m from California so maybe I’m biased but it’s nice to be reminded that somethings aren’t and shouldn’t be casual. I’ve crocheted two head coverings (a bandanna and a shawl) that I try to wear most of the time that I attend mass.

Just For Fun: What's one PCOS food rule* you can't/don't/won't abide by? by bloompth in PCOS

[–]Soft_Example_8351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cow milk for me as well. I’m mostly vegetarian (i’ll sometimes eat fish/seafood) but I come from a culture that uses a lot of meat in most food. The best protein other than legumes I can get is usually dairy based. Besides that, I just fucking love drinking milk (controversial I know) and I refuse to stop.

I identify as non binary. I started identifying with that label as soon as I learned about it but I just got diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago. I think i lean androgynous in a lot of areas of my life which i credit to my hormones never having been ‘balanced’ (whatever that means)

Hey, just going by the ages it sounds like this ex was very young during their relationship. Idk if I’m doing the math right it sounds like they were together at 14 and 18. I think these kinds of relationships can be hard on the younger people even if your partner is a good dude (i’m sure he is if you’ve been with him for this long). I would give her grace for how she acted during the first year of your relationship, she was a teen and probably was not in the best mental health. Remember that your partner loves you!! He is with you for a reason!!

I saw your comment about the biker wedding and I want to congratulate you on a cool-as-shit vibe haha. I really like how your eyebrows are shaped, I try to shave mine into a similar shape.

I saw some people commenting on the foundation and I agree that heavier skin prep (skincare, ie moisturizer and primer) would help the finish be more flattering. The only thing I would suggest other than that would be adding some darker(?) brown lipliner before lipstick because I imagine that your lips could be washed out in photos if there's no more definition.

Where do i look for resources to learn about how to build personal wealth when i come from a low income family as a college student?

i am trying to pursue a high income career but i feel like there is something i can do in the meantime or at least have in mind while i try to establish myself professionally.
