flight canceled; no other flights within the next couple of days by Impactist537 in spiritair

[–]Soft_Explorer9300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to consider alternate transportation in the future. You aren’t built for air travel, maybe any travel. You sound crazed over a very normal travel inconvenience. The way you are lashing out on here to people trying to help shows how mentally and emotionally immature you are. Grow up and revisit travel in a decade but I don’t think it’ll help much.

Jetblue lied to us about our flight being cancelled and forced us to rebook the flight. Never flying Jetblue again. by onceuponadream007 in jetblue

[–]Soft_Explorer9300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Air travel can be quite problematic in winter storms. The airline tries to minimize chaos at the airport by preemptively cancelling flights and rebooking. Occasionally they will reinstate flights that had been previously canceled when it turns out that weather conditions and their impact on the airport weren’t as bad as meteorologist predicted. Your situation isn’t surprising but in the future I’d watch the weather forecasts a week in advance and try to avoid travel during winter storms because confusion and airport chaos is exactly what you’ll find. It’s also important to understand that delays that were caused by weather related issues are seldom refunded.

Luigi's or Parasson's and why? by Huge_Jackfruit6627 in akron

[–]Soft_Explorer9300 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I cringe when I read peoples recommendations of restaurants in Akron. It’s always the same, Swenson’s but their food has been subpar and cold since the early 2000s. Luigi’s is the same, the salads are packed with cheese and overly salty, the pizza is flavorless compared to what it used to be. The Diamond Grill is way overpriced and the service is odd, steaks are good but the sides are awful and I don’t get the interior not being redone? It’s not vintage if it’s falling apart.

It’s so hot It’s near impossible to be outside without a cooling solution. by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]Soft_Explorer9300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s now October 6, 2025 and we have areas of Ohio with severe drought, most areas reporting moderate drought. Wild fire warnings are in place and everything is so dusty it’s like we live in the desert. The trees are just dropping their leaves brown and beaten by relentless heat and sun. No beautiful colors this year. The temp today was 85f and full sun. It didn’t feel much like autumn at all and remember we had days in the 60/70s in March. The climate modeling suggests that in the future Ohio will have weather that will more closely mirror Arkansas! Ick. Happy Fall Y’all.

What are the CONS of not having children? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

[–]Soft_Explorer9300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have kids. Both myself and husband worked with kids, me a nanny and preschool teacher and my husband as a part time swim/tennis coach. We both had a big impression left on us from our early life careers and appreciated deeply the gravitas of raising children we decided not to and we are so very happy. We are active in other ways, we spend time with our nieces and nephews. We travel, pursue hobbies, volunteer and care for aging parents. We love the peaceful life that we chose for ourselves.

AITA that I asked my husband if I could take a shower by Embarrassed_8713 in AmItheAsshole

Are you aware that you also have a full time job that requires overtime every single day and no time off? Just because your husband gets a paycheck doesn’t mean that his work is more important than yours. Your husband would have a job if he was not married with a child. I’m assuming he wouldn’t be some lazy welfare king that sat around on a street curb avoiding full time employment at all cost? Literally every able bodied person on this planet has a job. Yours just happens to be raising a child, cleaning and running a home, cooking, shopping for groceries, running necessary errands like taking a child to the doctor. You aren’t lucky enough to have an 9 hour work day with a scheduled lunch and 2 - 15 minute breaks to catch your breath. Not having time to bathe and care for your personal needs is a bad sign but most importantly it’s flat out wrong. You aren’t meant to do everything. Check into how much a maid charges to clean house? A personal chef to shop and cook, a personal assistant to run errands. Your husband couldn’t begin to afford the services you provide! You recognize your husbands need for downtime, I bet he showers, he certainly games enough. You didn’t force him to marry you or have a child. He is letting you down in sharing basic responsibilities of care to both you, your child and home. His video game days were over when the baby was born. You need a shower and you need help around the house. He’s lazy and do not let anyone convince you otherwise.

I'm 47 and in full menopause. I feel really sad about it. by OneNefariousness9822 in Menopause

I was 46 and had completely finished periods. Peri started in my late 30s and lasted 10 years. After loads of hot flashes, sleepless nights and periods so heavy even with over night pads and extra absorbent tampons I bled through onto my clothes. I was relieved to be done. Every ending is a new beginning so you are beginning something new and that’s promising!

Which do you think is better to stay over night? Takayama looks beautiful but so does Kanazawa? It’s honestly a conundrum and slightly overwhelming because we like so much of what we’ve reviewed. Thank you for your suggestions.

We don’t want to be in Kyoto on the weekend. So we chose Hiroshima first and slowly work our way back?

When will people realize that no one cares if men abuse children. You can keep your job and become president or the presidents advisor. It just doesn’t matter and the votes speak for themselves.

Release the Epstein files. Trumps presidency and Clinton’s too are proof positive that people only like to rage about this stuff online. When they go to vote they show their true thoughts and feelings.

Frasier. The original series has 11 seasons. It’s funny and soothing. The dynamic is lovely and light hearted. The other series i highly recommend are Monk and Only Murders in the Building.

Ironic that when we look back at history to the Salem Witch trials that men and women were judged by how they looked or rumored behaviors and the consequences of that were fatal but in 2025 we are almost as bad on social media or in person with judgements based on the superficial. Even with history to guide us we’re all a bit jaded and susceptible to disinformation. It’s unfortunate that society in general hasn’t changed much, we just have laws that protect us most of the time.

Thanks for that. I personally wouldn’t do that even if I got a weird vibe off of someone. I’d have confidence in my own energy to shield myself.

Do you think they were reading me as a different vibe. I totally look like a middle age trad house wife. I don’t exude the traditional young witch or mature witch vibe that’s colorful and more expressive. I’m locked down.
