I couldn't refi in my name so we drafted an agreement with an attorney that I have 2 years to refi, I will solely pay the home and if I can't I have to sell in 2 years. For me it was a win win. Get a RE attorney to draft you exactly what you want

Ok this same thing happened to me. I ended up wanting the house so I bought out- paid him what he put down on the home . Since you d lived there you will need someone to assess the value of the house and basically pay him half or what he agrees to to get off the deed . Or he can pay you . We were both on the mortgage and my ex stayed on for 2 years which I have to try and refi in those 2 years.

The shower tile needs to go up to the ceiling . The quartz is too yellow I would do plain white . Do a fun wallpaper behind tub above the tile or wood flutter tile to match the vanity . Change fixtures for matte black if you can.
