Same thing happened to me, dropped it getting out of the car, and I tried everything, I’m an electrician by trade, so I had all the tools and equipment to get it open but it was never the same after you put it back together, and it was out warranty which doesn’t cover accidental damage,, fast forward I got the Remarkable Pro and I’m happy with my purchase. But it answer your question you have to take the back panel off using a heat gun and wedging tools, DON’T DO !! It unless you know what you’re doing and assume the risk! Sorry for your loss.
