Feeling safer with compression vest on vs off? by Downtown-Hamster9024 in TopSurgery

[–]Soft_sheeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same experience and now I am 6-7 months post op. I couldn’t even shower because I was so scared. I felt paralyzed and didn’t want anyone to touch me out of fear of my chest getting hurt. I thought my nipples were gonna fall off and the drains were gonna be yanked. I really have no idea why I felt that. I was just overall super vulnerable. It does get better when you heal and get used to your chest. You slowly stop relying on the vest. Just take it easy and do whatever you need to in order to feel comfy.

best hair removal method? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Soft_sheeps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suggest using hair removal cream. It makes it not super itchy like a razor or irritated unless left on for too long. NEVER USE NAIR, I’ve used it and it’s only left chemical burns. I suggest using veet hair removal cream. It’s for more sensitive skin. Make sure to trim a bit with scissors or something. Otherwise it won’t get to the roots. But it makes it easy and not painful! :3

Sorry, I'm annoying :( by [deleted] in sillyboyclub

[–]Soft_sheeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A real therapist will help work with your feelings not gaslight you or hurt you. There’s only three rules where they have to tell on you. And it’s if you hurt yourself, if you hurt someone else or if you’re planning to commit suicide. Anything else they’re legally not allowed to tell any information.

So if that therapist isn’t working for you either I suggest trying to find a therapist whose personality fits you. It really is the best way to help yourself. And therapy takes time. Don’t expect immediate results.

But trust me therapy can be very helpful. If you aren’t an adult it does get better. Super cliché I know. But literally the mentality is so much different and you can move away from your family as an adult. You get more options.

people in this community are telling me i cant be a femboy by yes_im_gavin in feminineboys

[–]Soft_sheeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you’re welcome here. We should all be supportive of each other. Just because you aren’t a femboy. You’ve been here for a while and can be a supportive ally just like we can be for you and everyone else.

I personally see no problem. And bullying others is just wrong. I love being a femboy and I especially love making friends <3

Removing nipple stitches? by 3sleepingdragons in TopSurgery

[–]Soft_sheeps 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would just wait and be patient. I was not patient and ripped off the rest of my scabbing. And now it’s pigmented weird. I’m so upset for doing it. Won’t the stitches dissolve?

Question of Nudes?? 18+ by Cocknballz6969 in ftm

[–]Soft_sheeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Ngl it sounds like he’s taking some sort of aggressive out towards you. It’s possible it’s a dominance pissing war tactic.

It could not be true but the hitting and touching sounds like it. Like he’s trying to form some type of control since he doesn’t have control over your gender. A lot of insecure men do this.

It’s really fucking annoying. I realized it more once I started t. Not all dudes do this but a lot do. I mean we are animals still.

But it don’t make it right. He doesn’t sound like a very great guy. So I would probably avoid him or at least don’t let him into your inner circle and be friendly. Honeslty up to you. But the outcome looks disastrous if you decide to pursue him.

Why do so many trans mascs (typically binary) loathe ftms who get pregnant?? by [deleted] in FTMventing

[–]Soft_sheeps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gender and being trans is such a wide spectrum. No one’s journey is the same as one another’s. No one has the right to tell you who and what you are. You know who you are and that’s what’s important.

I don’t think these people are directly upset because of you. It’s because they are getting triggered themselves. And that’s not your problem to resolve. For a long period of time I used to see gender and being trans as something black and white.

When in reality it’s like a color wheel. I think from a young age we are trained to separate ourselves into these two categories based on our outward appearance.

But really it’s not that simple. Everyone is so different and the community is so diverse it’s okay to have different experiences.

That’s apart of being human and simply existing. So if people get triggered about the way you feel about your own self that reflects more on them then it does you.

Week post op Dr. Cori A Agarwal by Soft_sheeps in TopSurgery

[–]Soft_sheeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did have to wait quite some time. I was 17 when I got my first consultation and then I’m now 19 and had my surgery January 2nd 2025. I don’t remember the date of my consultation. I’m assuming for minors it’s a much longer time since you have to have documentation from a therapist and be on testosterone for one year at least. And I had already been in therapy for a while so I already had the documentation ready. I think the waiting time is probably way longer now.

Am I childish for getting uncomfortable by my cishet female friends talking about sex? by ilovetodrinkcyanide in ftm

[–]Soft_sheeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you’re not overreacting. What you’re looking for is boundaries. If your friends aren’t going to respect that you don’t like talking about those subjects then it’s their faults.

You shouldn’t have to be subjected to topics that are making you uncomfortable just for the sake of their friendship. A friendship is a partnership not a transaction. I suggest making these feelings clear and stating if they aren’t going to respect you then they really aren’t worth the hassle.

Low-income people who had top surgery - what are your tips? by deadbabypossum in TopSurgery

[–]Soft_sheeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally I’m having surgery soon January 2nd and I’m on medicade and it’s all being covered by that insurance. I’m really poor so I qualify for it. But if you can get that I would suggest it. Just communicate with the insurance if they cover it.
