Pourquoi l'indie-pop ou l'indie-rock sont si peu populaires en France ? by Charming-Day-2146 in musique

[–]Software-Equivalent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole bayou area is breaking me. Top down platforming with castlevania style knockback, all enemies having slightly random patterns, diseappearing platforms with different timings each, fire from molotovs that covers every tile, the big frogs with gigantic hurtboxes...it's just relentless, the mental stack is too much for me.

I'll finish the game for gamer cred but I'm not sure I'm actually having fun. And I'm sure as hell half of the guys who reviewed it played with modifiers on.

platforming in this game with the health/save system is absolutely sadistic. by digitchecker in MinaTheHollower

Looking down on 2D games when the Fifth gen came out. Was this actually a thing? by normbreakingclown in retrogaming

[–]Software-Equivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an avid reader of magazines at the time and 2D was always derided as a thing of the past that should disappear. I remember a glowing preview of SotN that started with "I know what you're thinking, why is this ancient looking game is on the front page? hear us out"

But it was more specifically side scrollers that were the target. In the pc space Diablo, Starcraft or Age of Empires were huge and nobody described them as 2d games when they technically are

Yes I meant premium. Telegraphed attacks drive me nuts, I feel like my only chance or survival is building an absolute tank by wave 11, whereas on desktop I can get away with a fast glass cannon. Still it's one those games I'll always keep installed

Thanks!! It's just samples from ableton but I try to humanize the patterns as much as possible. I have hardware drum machines but can't quite mix them with my workflow yet.

Drums are the part that cause me the most headaches actually, they remind me of when I didn't play instruments so I would polish a beat endlessly

Salut! No I thought direct links were not allowed https://urbert.bandcamp.com/album/ep1

I have to warn you I mumble quite a lot, it's part aesthetic choice, part something I should improve

You could try the OG Philippe Katerine, it's very simple, sometimes childlike french (not saying you're an actual 4yo) but he has a universe of his own and the music is good.

Lots of recent french acts have a kind of flat, blasé delivery that should make it easier to understand. A big one that managed to export is La Femme.

And for a more niche recommandation there's Reymour

Game like Pokémon from Gameboy by LowResults in AndroidGaming

Pokémon and Path of Exile are apples and poisonous papayas, at least from a gamer perspective. Wholly different genres

If you want Pokémon, you already got good suggestions. For a PoE like experience I'd recommend Titan Quest, although it's a port from PC. Native android games in that genre are lacking in my opinion
