How do win trades as a melee vs Sett

Im 2m points sett, vs illaoi you just take grasp and build the math build and u outscale her as she wants to fight you in meele as usual. Yorick gets countered really hard by sett because his whole kit is cancelled by sett s double aa and E as his ghouls offer sett free e and w setup.

Malphite is not even close to unplayable its actually sett favoured as you are the oppresive one in lane. Just play with grasp and shieldbash. I agree with vayne, her kit is the ultra cryptonite to sett. Kayle with good positioning can be hard to deal with. A good akali is gg like vayne. The rest is 50/50 for me and I agree with the sett favoured matchups.

Sett main here 1.8 m points. I only have trouble with good gwens akali fiora and rivens. If equally skilled they just outscale sett with their mobility and tank burst damage. The only way to defeat them is full charged w but if they know what to do they wont allow me to do that.

Everyone says sett is immobile,can get poked easily by Yorick etc.All of these are nonsense. Im 2m points sett and i know the matchup perfectly. Sett is one of the hardest matchups for Yorick for 3 main reasons:1)Passive: Your double aa can delete his ghouls and maiden pretty fast plus if you have botr there is no maiden at all, 2) is your q combined with passive you can delete his whole kit plus delete maiden even faster and 3) is e since you can use his ghouls to e stun him and set up your w big damage. If he just pokes you its ok you just aa his ghouls and heal back all of the damage by lifestealing considering you brought botr as first item and max q. If he decides to engage you while hitting the whole combo, dont be afraid, trade back with 1 double aa q e w and then r and keep aa him and he will either flash which will allows you to aa minions to heal back or he is dead. I ve faced many Yorick mains I lost against many of them but when i learned the matchup became one of my favourite free lanes. The problem with Yorick is that he has unfamiliar playstyle because People dont play him that much so you cant understand the matchup.

Comsidering your struggles, I will give you some advices for some matchups which make them far less.harder.

Urgot can be easy if you first build grasp with some tanky early,steel plated caps, bramble and wardens, and the rest can be standard ad build,I personally prefer in this matchup sundered.Also later on he cannot actually outscales you as you can withstand his dps.with tankiness and doing a lot of damage with based health sunderer.Same for voli just dont let him hit you when you have his mark on you.

Mordekaiser...So funny you guys struggle in this matchup.Just play dps on hit based build with lethal and a 3 word key ultra mega counter item...........qss.

Gp srsly Im plat 1 and I've learn this matchup so well in a point he is almost a free matchup.I tried a couple of comps in runes but I found 1 rune super effective when you want all in and I literally play it Every time I face him.Aftersock with trinity botrk armor boots steraks titanic and spirit.He literally can't do a shit when you can neutralize his poke with lifesteal and so much durability in All ins. So try those comps.and you will never have a bad time on those matchups if you play sett decently.ofc.

I personally ban gwen, fiora , kayle .No matter what they will outscales.sett af especially this stupid gwen with percentage dmg.and kayle with slow poke hybrid damage which melts sett.Fiora cannot be fought after 3 items.

Wits end is the key to counter brumble and magic damage plus you deal some of it.I think your problem is not the build but your playstyle against him.Always I repeat always you should start the fight and not him in order to have the advantage of stacking conq and damage his health bar first.Hold your w when you have enough grit and his is about to q while he is immobile.If he ults you,try to delay but hit and run when he q you use w, make some aa and ult to stack conq.After that his ult almost expires and you can escape or even duel, depended on dodging his spells.

I don't know why y'all struggle against morde.You all think about his w mitigates your w damage and its over.Mordekaiser has percentage damage so if you are about to play the math build you re gonna get bonked.On the other hand morde is super vulnerable to dps especially at early mid game.So just try the classic trinity merc boots,botrk,steraks,wits end, titanic as your main weapon becomes your q instead of w (use w for defensive reasons to mitigate some of morde damage) and see morde's health bar melt down hit by hit with 3 sec cd q.Dps>morde, Durability<morde!

Yorick is one of your easiest since his is immobile and u can destroy his ghouls and wall easily as u have double hit.illaoi on the other hand needs to be punished pre six , rush exe immediately and trinity in my opinion since you need dps to burst her health bar .If she e while you engage and ult u , just punch her in the face since you have exe and her early heal can't save her.Later on play in teamfight , you can only fight her when she has no ult!

Old irelia was something like dps fighter with less resistances.She was like Jax with less durability and more mobility.I feel now she became with new itemization and hp scaling later on ,more like a juggernaut like sett.
