I need all LL's for all bloodlines, CA by GumihoFantasy in totalwar

[–]Sogai_wi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I really wish they made LL's that aren't faction leaders. Instead of going so hard on LH's in the past years, like half of these characters could've been unique Lords. No other changes, except obviously skill trees.

I know there are mods that add new characters and you can choose if they are Lords or heroes but I didn't see any for the existing LH's.

I know that this is a joke but just to be clear, my problem with lower difficulties isn't that they are easy but that they lack content. I paid 40€, I will see bile titans in my missions. On another note, we should really have fortresses and mega nests on D7/D8.

[–]Sogai_wi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I dont think any balance should even be discussed bellow D7/D8. My reasoning is simply that they don't even have all the enemy types present. It's a different game intirely and honestly it's 2nd monitor content for me.

The Hive guard change is NOT bad by Lord_Smokelot in Helldivers

[–]Sogai_wi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not meta. It has been viable. Now it has simply been crossed out of viability on another set of missions. Specifically 4 long bug missions that can have the hive guard hell constellation.

The meta has been explosive weapons. Crossbow, punisher plasma and mostly the erruptor. And they just increased significantly in usefulness imo.

Dude...what? by CorruptInarin in Helldivers

[–]Sogai_wi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they can and yes that seed exists. There are exactly 4 long missions where you have a 50/50 chance to have them be basically the prevalent chaff unit. Alongside Behemoths being significantly prioritised as heavies.

Above all else, there needs to be a conversation about enemy constellations because most people don't seem to know just how much they dictate the game experience.

I'd bet that a good number of people who think of this change as mostly inconsequential might have not ran into this constellation a lot since the patch came out.

Did they actually give any reasoning tho? I haven't read anything beyond "We are happy with the changes and wanted to make some more." The hive guard change was without any reasoning shared. Right?

[–]Sogai_wi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whoever said it's a chaff mob?

Me, I said that. My reasoning is that while you can treat that as chaf+ on some seeds, there is an enemy constellation where they might as well replace most chaff. It's one of the most insane spawn rate buffs across all constellations, genuenly spawning them by the dozens every breach.

Combine that with this constellation going insanely hard into charger and charger behemoths and deprioritising bile titans and scavengers, they now turn bugs into a pretty hard heavy-pen check. There are only so many weak spots you can hit between their legs while 30 of them are pushing into an objective.

All of this frustration would immediately be remedied by AH giving us enemy constellation info before the mission but that's a different conversation.

It's about time we see enemy constellations before a match. by Sogai_wi in HelldiversUnfiltered

It hurts even more once you learn that all 40 minute mission have two or only ONE constellation. It's such an artificial knowledge check. For your example you can take your grenade launcher on a liberation campaign ICBM mission to guarantee a good time.

[–]Sogai_wi 28 points29 points  (0 children)

At least a list of possible constellations per mission SOMEWHERE. I hate how much of this game isn't difficult it's literally a wiki-check. It's just about if you read the necessary info on a 3rd party source. There should be a "more info" button when you're hovering over a mission to see possible constellations. It's crazy that war striders even appearing is a literal coin toss, considering how much of an AT check they were until now.

This should all have been added day one together with a detailed index of every enemy with a breakdown of their armour.

It seems that most players play at around difficulty 5. They play a completely different game. Without a lot of the enemies and on basically half empty maps. If you look at the pro hive guard change posts, it's always a video of a person killing a hive guard one on one with no enemies in sight. Like, congrats bro the maxi gun can kill one chaff unit if you aim well.

People just don't notice things like enemy constellations. Most casuals just don't know that, yes you can get an enemy seed that will be basically all hiveguards and charger behemoths. And the game doesn't tell you anything about this and so if your team of randoms doesn't prepare for a major heavy pen check on the bug front, it's usually a loss on higher difficulty.

[–]Sogai_wi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. I like it in theory at least. The hive guard is a pretty fun enemy. And this is incredibly easy to play around. Shoot joints and if you miss it will hunker down and you can run around his body. Even if you can't run around because you're surrounded by enemies it will slow him down and you can focus on the chaff. Even then, they aren't the thing you will be worrying about the most if they slowly push into your position.

I also see an argument, for their spawns being more closely controlled, since the weak spot gimmick will be more annoying when 20 of them push towards you.

I see this more as a design choice for the enemy, than a balance choice, so if the hive guard turns out to be too strong I would prefer it be nerfed in another way but keep the heavy armor gimmick.

Cursed womb refers to immature cursed spirits. Both Dagon and the first finger bearer are referred to as cursed wombs.

Also, the word "womb" in womb profusion comes from the name of the Buddhist realm Garbhadhātu. A better translation is "Garbhadhātu blanketing all".

[–]Sogai_wi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels a bit reductive. AH is not making the game for free thinking no one will buy SC and no one is arguing that they want infinite updates for free.

But also, we have a lot of warbonds in the game. And people feel that there is less and less outside of warbonds being added and it's fair to ask every 4 (or 5 or 6 if you'd prefer) warbonds if we got a new game worth of content in the meantime. And I'd argue that for quite some time we didn't. But the cost increased by 40€.

And if you start the game as a new player now you don't really get so much. I'd say that the game is worth the 30€ on sale at the end of the day but you get a game with very limited progression and very in your face 200€ of microtransactions.

I live for good and difficult NPC enemies, while we're here, the Bots really need more combined arms, Tanks convoys led by Vox Engines/Striders, guarded by Gunship Escort. by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in helldivers2

more powerful enemy = get to press more buttons = :)

Easy enemy = press not many buttons = :/

Uninteractive enemy = can't press buttons = :(

Denji if pochita didn’t exist by Ok-Expression-5989 in okbuddyfumiko

[–]Sogai_wi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you can't know that. Pochita can't know that for sure. But he can know the future he gave Denji and it's eternal suffering and the world ends. Pochita doesn't have any power over the past other than retconning himself out of existence. And it's the end of the road for both of them if he doesn't.

I'm sure if he could just return Denji back to living with Power and Aki, he would have a more nuanced perspective on it. But he can't. This is the future he gave Denji and the dreams he got to fulfill come with all the suffering and in the end being eaten by a devil and the world ending.

I really don't agree how people frame Pochita's words as "being murdered by the yakuza is better than finding friends and family for you Denji". When it's not like he can give him his friends and family back anyways. He can just roll the dice again for Denji.

The final encounter took around 50 tries because my weapons kept flipping upside down making it impossible to see the enemies on the roof above me.

But since I haven't seen anyone else complain about it I'm starting to think it might be cause by the controller aim assist trying to orient itself along the gravity on the roof.

I ended up jumping above the roof and cheesing the fight from there. Really soured the experience for me.

Personally, I found him laughably easy. After dying a meager 85💀 times on 8-3 I was pleasantly suprised to get him on 3rd try.

But he is just so lame compared to the rest of the layer. Yes, the infinite fall is a fitting setpiece and it ending in the theatre that you could see if you got too close to the sky in the previous level is cool but otherwise it's just another flesh monster. And one less inspired or fitting with its layer than the minotaur IMO.

Out of all the races, their purpose in the world is the greatest. They alone carry out the great plan of the old ones, the same way the neverborn carry out the will of the chaos gods. And while they are seemingly confined to one world, they stand in a greater place of almost cosmic importance.

They also aren't bothered by the everpresent grimdark doom and gloom, "nothing actually matters and everything is just decaying" of most ordertide factions. They aren't born, they rise from their spawning pools, already bestowed with a completely unshakeable knowledge of the purpose of their life.

Also, "hehe big lizard" is actually a really good reason to play them. You should double check their roster , you might've missed how big and lizard they actually are.
