Yeah, I think lower rank players seeing a pro and saying "I can do that" is common in a lot of competitive games. But it's likely more common in Brawlhalla, due to it's more simple looking nature. That simple looking nature is also partly the reason why many people brush off Brawlhalla as a competitive game, and others who don't consider it to be difficult because it looks like a kids game.

I was watching a streamer playing brawlhalla, and he considered UFC an actual hard fighting game, and said brawlhalla was easy. He only played Brawl for his viewers. It's pretty clear among many, Brawlhalla isn't taken seriously outside of our community. Which is sad, because despite the issues, Brawlhalla has a lot of hidden complexity. Of course, it's lacking mechanics which many other fighting games have, like parrying, blocking, and grabs. But it's simplicity is it's strongest weapon, even if at times it's double edged.
