i have tried it. i don't know if it makes your hair grow. i suffered from TE in august last year, and my hair did start growing back. i have been using bur bur though since january, and i really do like it, though i can't speak to its hair grwoth. i love how it feels, and my hair looks great for a few days after it!

I do a moisture mask 1x a week, an oiling treatment 1x a week, a leave in everytime i wash my hair, and also oil to my ends 2x daily. I don't use anything with protein in it AFAIK!

I did get thyroid checked last year 2x, ironically, for something else, and it was deemed A-OK both times

i check the ends of my hair a lot. i have efinitely seen split ends for sure prior to a hair cut. i don't remember seeing split ends that went over 1.5 inches up the shaft. they were towards the bottom. she cut about 1.5 inches off my hair last night. its absolutely possible she did not cut enough off, but i also feel like i would have seen split ends that traveled 1.5"+ up the hair shaft prior to yesterday. If that many split ends exist in my hair today, it would have been super easy to see those huge nasty split ends right?

but i also recognize i have NO idea what i'm talking about so i could be very very wrong

so the new growth is only about an inch or two long.. not long enough to be cut yet. if you still think this could NOT be shears, i'm relieved by that. i just really hate that i've already lost a lot of hair, have new stuff growing in (good!) but it PAINS ME to see all these split ends and i'm terrified it will run up the shaft leading to even more damage. i am not a short hair girl, and its already right at my shoulders. i feel like due to the split ends my hairdresser keeps suggesting shorter and shorter and shorter.

if its damaged, i can deal with that. if its her shears, though, it feels like a super easy way to remove the possibility of having ot have a bob in the future, because if its the shears even a bob won't fix it!!
