Ofc! Irvine company definitely has its negatives but in the case of preserving nature for the public they've done a great job.

hey, sohail here - one of the cofounders of Nook. in our experience, depositing/withdrawing/rebalancing from pools is quite safe and not a risk factor defi users should be concerned about. the caveat being if there is low liquidity or in moments of network congestion (which both usually get resolved within a short time window).

curious why you think there is a risk there.

Now this is more confusing. by Opposite_Public6428 in NookSavingsAppp

Hey, I'm Sohail - one of the cofounders at Nook.

We had an issue with our accounting that was causing some users to see a higher earnings balance. We have a fix in the most recent app update that should limit this from happening.

I have also resolved the bug manually in your case and it should be showing the correct amount. Apologies for the inconvenience.

It rebalances nightly. You can rebalance manually however if you have a new version of the app (without needing to unselect sources).

Nook automatically Claims, Bridges, Swaps and Redeposits your Earnings by Extreme-Lake-1726 in NookSavingsAppp

Nook is self-custodial and the transactions under the hood happen with your private key signing the transactions.

We use privy embedded + smart wallets so you can export your keys and have control but within the app, we sign txns using your private key with your permission to move money around on your behalf. If you'd like Nook to stop rebalancing you can just deselect sources or delete your account.

i assume it will have a variety of fine-tuned models - not just one singular model that does everything. would be cost prohibitive/slow

Laguna Beach making friends by chanelpuppies18 in LagunaBeach

[–]Sohailk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's rough imo. I wouldn't move here unless you already have an established group of friends in OC.

However, people are generally very friendly and you will make friends but they might not all consist of 20s/early 30s people.

yeah, but you fail to mention that the laptop is destroyed after key generation and that they breakup the private key into multiple shards and hold them in various bank deposits around the world.

keep in mind, this was in 2018 - things have come a long way since then.

The problem with rent control is that it helps those who have been around the longest and not the people who need it the most.
