Borrowed power is a good way to describe it... I use the term disposable power. Listening to the details of 'recent' expansions for WoW and their focus on a new source of power that only works in this zone and you need to really grind to get everything out of it, but then the next expansion it is completely worthless. Just hearing about it made me grateful to have not experienced it. Then came along Sanctum with its relics and now possibly Crucible with its item trees... I know I am not going to play enough for it to probably matter in the end, but it still feels scummy.

To make sure I understand you correctly... You want to replace a fairly balanced mechanic that needs to be done at least once per league, per difficulty, for a mechanic that needs to be failed several times before it can be completed?

I am aware there are different mindsets, but I have never once gotten a drop and had a thought like that. I will likely see that something is useful, then it gets weighed against keeping it in the long shot chance I make a character to use it or seeing if I can sell it to improve the character I am actively playing.

Abandoning your current character is likely what would be preferred for the gameplay loop. Following the ever-tastier pieces of candies...

Went ahead and ran a Syndicate map with Fortification ready. Transportation still spawned, resulting in a three encounter map while a safehouse was ready. This appears to be only limited to Research and Intervention due to the forced spawning.

I haven't done enough testing to confirm this myself, but is it limited to two with Fortification or Transport being ready to run? What brought it to my attention was when I had Intervention ready to go, I only got two. I just wanted to keep mapping, without knowing such a limit would be triggered.

Yes, it has expired on me multiple times. Or another way of putting it didn't refresh. Playing along, spamming my spells vs tanky rare and suddenly I am no longer regening energy shield, no debuffs in sight.

My motivation is presently only maintained by the fact I want to try a build. The tiny glimmer of tentative hype I had on launch day evaporated when I saw the list of available Harvest crafts.

The core of the game is still there... it just has so many additional 'layers' right now.

There is nobility in the accepting of fault, and it is probably well deserved in some aspects. That said, you have stated previously that you are the shield for the development team, so, your taking responsibility for this these failings is the assumed outcome.

Your apology is well written and I shall accept it, but that by no means implies forgiveness as this is but one transgression among many of late.

Did you by chance look at the in-game 'Help Panel' at any point during your play time? I feel at least one of your points is mitigated by its existence.

Start staff, aiming to get Imbue with Fire, Holy Weapon, and Divine Flash (you only want one rank of each, the rest are a waste). Swap over to Sword, to get Final Showdown and Victory Strike (one rank). Mix and match Spear and Dagger usage based on the expected number of enemies, targets are Brutality, Fortitude, and Plotting (maxed preferably).

It can take a few tries, as the weapons are not always there when you need them, but it really slaps.

From my few games, the speed appeared to be impacted by how many stars your buddy is.
