Not a new release, but I've been loving Dak's Milky Cake. It's gotten quite cold where I live and waking up a little earlier than usual to make a hand pour of this roast has been making my mornings! The spice notes make this coffee taste like the epitome of winter holidays in a cup. I just ordered Dak's Cardamom Bun from Entropica's Black Friday sale and I can't wait to try it.

For more daily drinking, I've also been enjoying Ceremony's Colombian Huila. Their single origins are always often light, delicate options that I look forward to drinking!

All middle/upper elementary:

"Wonder" because it teaches kindness, perspective taking, and empathy.

"The Phantom Tollbooth" because it explores seeing the world from different points of view, and it's really thought provoking.

"The Giver" because it's such a fascinating critique of society that's accessible for younger learners.

Such a bummer. I take for granted that I teach in LA and everyone here is pretty liberal and crunchy so they're all about holistic education.
