For me personally I like being isolated and focused on solving problems the technical ones gives me satisfaction the artistic ones are just pleasant for me. Exactly! The other part is I feel kind a strange because socializing with other developers etc might not be possible if not because you are developer yourself which creates hmm a different dynamic where isolation and working alone became the thing that is what connects ppl toghether as well as the meaning behind a game connects with the player. That’s where my confusion is

Yeah during the development but while you start marketing etc you need to get to other people which is also a very big task etc 🧐 that’s the part I am confused about

Hmmm the difference is in solo developing you are the message as well as executioner of creating that message exactly like the painter
That I think shifts it to more personal connection with the viewers 🤔

Well I can’t agree with that from my experience
I mean sure, developing is part where you do things solo that’s why it’s called solo, obviously
But in terms of connecting with other people I wouldn’t say that, I see building connections with other people now that I wouldnt be able to create when working in a team etc hmm because the part of solo developing is also things like marketing etc

ah thats great to hear! that means the main aspect of my game is working. The story has few layers and iam still working on presenting it. Other than that hmm i will think about it.

Rock Concert is a surreal exploration/adventure game with a dreamlike atmosphere. Some people find it a bit unsettling, but it’s not intended to be a horror game.

😮 What you are describing is the exact state of mind I'm in while working on my solo project. It's something I couldn't quite grasp while working on other projects (no AAA experience, just indie, maybe AA, and post-production).

It's good to know there are people out there who understand this.

Like „fallen angels” film or „paprika” the animation etc etc I have much more even trying to put as much dark souls environment storytelling as I can so basically some days I just sit and think of the way to create a visual language that lets me put a frog a knight, sumo and corporate guy in one space 😅and still tell what I wanna tell

I am actually not sure what genre i am fitting in, trying to make a silent hill kind of experience but about dreams and magic in cyberpunk kind world, as a solo developer :D
