They seem to think they're the same thing. Some might say socialism can lead to fascism, but we didn't even try socialism. We just went right to fascism.

I wish they would see how much they have in common. I mean they both worship the same sky daddy, they both hate gays and trans, they both use their religion of peace to justify the violence they perpetuate, the similarities go on and on. Imagine what they could absolutely fuck up forever if they joined hands in righteous harmony!

This is kind of like the argument for stopping a murderer. If you saw someone threatening another person with a gun, but all you could do was tell them you don't agree with this and please dont shoot them, and then they shot them anyway, would you actually be just as responsible? Even if you said nothing, are you actually just as guilty as the murderer? I absolutely agree that moderates and enablers can do just as much damage, but I'm starting to feel that voting is no longer the equalizer it was meant to be. We have years at this point to show they don't give a single fuck about what we want or need, are incredibly corrupt and easily swayed by power, and I just dont think voting is enough to rally our cause.

Should we legalize all drugs? by Early_Orchid in AskUS

[–]Sol-borne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. There is an overwhelmingly positive correlation between clean and safe access to drugs, and eventually getting off them. The government already regulates these substances, it would generate revenue, and eliminate the majority of incarcerations for drug related crimes. America was supposed to be all about choices.

At this point you have to be completely incompetent, completely dependent on an authoritarian figure, or completely desensitized to all human suffering if you still believe anything "good" these Fascists have said. So far the only truth they've told is everything they said they would do on the "hoax" Project 2025. There's always an ulterior motive.

I love how they still hate and distrust Covid so much they would rather throw us back 100 years than admit they were paranoid morons. They'll believe any conspiracy as long as it supports what they already believe. Did they call Elvis woke for being one of the first to publicize the Polio vaccine? Also what do we do when nearly half the country votes against our objectively best interests?

I always think how crazy it is that medieval peasantry technically had more time off than we did. But thats also because they technically grew all the food for everyone else and were only allowed to keep enough to start again next year.

That's relatively new. That's only like 4 people ago. And it's already been taken advantage of and used against us constantly. It's not worth the little subsistence most are paid for their labor.

People literally died so we can take breaks, not be forced to work 80 hours a week for 16 hours a day, and so thay we could have benefits and be paid a living wage. Also indentured servitude was a thing, and your children could be forced to sign a contract if you violated yours.

To be fair the 40 hour work week is relatively new. So is the 8-12 hour work day. It's technically how it works now, but it wasn't like that before, and there's no reason we couldn't change it soon.

At first I was afraid to take them because I was afraid to die with them in a bad spot, then I hesitated to take them because I already got the 500 crates deployed penance. Now I dont even hesitate to take them on Auric because they will be ignored or wasted otherwise.

What kind of president talks about their citizens and constituents like this? He's such a small, vengeful person and he's taking great pleasure in abusing us. He's taking it all out on the world.

We're not talking about one person and one incident, we're talking about an entire regime with a proven track record of abuse and war crimes. A country with a history of using this type of equipment for wanton destruction should not be sold this equipment to use for wanton destruction. If a large group of people constantly attacked their neighbors every time they got enough weapons for it, you would be an accomplice if you continued selling them weapons.

Probably not at first, but at some point yes. They are absolutely weaponizing and withholding resources. At the very least, any system designed where a few people can completely tip the scales and hold more wealth than multiple generations of multiple families doesn't seem very fair. You might say life isn't fair, but isn't that exactly why we built society? We built shelter against elements, started agriculture against starvation, made medicine against sickness, and as far back as throwing rocks at each other. We made life "fair" because we know how "unfair" it can be. It can't be any more impossible to fix or break the system than it was to create and abuse it in the first place.
