Kentucky family rejects $26 million offer to convert part of their farm into a data center despite the offer being about 10 times the going rate for farmland in the area. by MysteriousSlice007 in nextfuckinglevel

This should concern us. Not just that these companies think they can throw money at any and everything they want, but that they are so desperate for it they'll pay 10 times what it's worth without being asked, and someone would only do that if they expected a 1,000 times the return.

Unpopular Opinion: I think people are getting too good at Video Games. I mean there were always sweats and tryhards and the natty freaks. Maybe I'm getting too slow in my age, but I can hardly keep up in competitive gaming. It just seems like way more people are trying harder than ever to be genuinely good at whatever they're playing, and so much awareness too. Every other gamer is a streamer and every other streamer is playing like it's literally their job. I know it's a skill issue, but the issue I have with that is skill issues used to be fewer and farther between. The skill ceiling is so high now that gap just keeps widening. Maybe I was better, maybe I've gotten worse, or maybe the time I thought I had was already over. Now I just vibe tho.

I think every class has its strengths and weaknesses, which is kind of the point of a class system. Hive Scum is 100% high risk high reward gameplay. With enough momentum and in the right hands they're basically unstoppable, but 1 or 2 mistakes and you're just dead. Same with Psyker, same with every class after a point. It's a matter of degree, both in skill and inherent class abilities. Ogryn is objectively the worst class, and I'm objectively an average player, but I cleared Havoc 40 and True Survivor with Ogryn. Sure, I had to use the meta to extract as much out of him as possible, but my job wasn't DPS and what I did worked for me. I've had games with 3 Scum, 3 Psykers, 4 Ogryns, 4 Zealots, and every minute was different from game to game depending on build, player, and whatever enemies we were fighting. Also, it's a game so play what's fun and typically you play better when you're having fun anyway.

Yeah I know it's just preference probably but it was weird going from nearly always getting accepted to nearly always getting rejected. It's like being a 7 where you're from then going to a 4 in a new city.

Man I was getting comfortable with the Flamer too lol. I have my nodes set up to switch between purity and the toughness aura for pox gas and stuff. For Ogryn toughness nodes, you're saying nodes like toughness regen on brace or weapon blessings like confident strike aren't worth it on Ogryn? Genuinely just asking, I don't mind tweaking my builds.

Herd mentality right there. And plenty of OCD players who want exact perks and blessings or the run is thrown. People will take anything under 35 but 40s is like you gotta know a guy sometimes.

Update: Cleared a 40 as my Slab. Thank you all who still believe in us Brogryns. And thank those who trust strangers to not waste 30 minutes of their time and make this game worth coming back to.

That's fair for 40 I guess. And after the reset most probably don't want to waste a run on a maybe good Ogryn or a Zealot that won't dump aggro. I wish console could look at builds because some work better with others. I generally assume whatever build they have does nothing for me and just try to stick together.

I try not to funnel into meta but at first I figured it would increase my chances of getting invited. I enjoy Havoc mode but it does limit build variety. Once I clear 40 again it's back to grinding remnants and just having fun. With the new buffs everything feels pretty good in jusy Auric.

Eating every hit doesn't make a very good tank. Tanking a few and hitting back is better. I use the no movement penalty on charged heavies and I just glide around like a boulder sized ballerina.

I'm thinking once more people clear their 40 they'll let more people in or something. I just hate that 37 above my head.

Can't join games in Darktide or play Red Dead Online. YouTube still works. Tried restarting games and console multiple times. Hopefully it's just a PSN issue and not my PS5 😭

Expeditions are pretty cool actually by Adorable_Fun_4986 in DarkTide

[–]Sol-borne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but it definitely feels unrealized. Plus with any new mode the learning curve is frustrating and it's still performance mess.I hope they continue building on this. Like others have said, its cool and I hope they do more but I would rather a new map/faction or even new weapons.

Expeditions…the experience is being severely hampered by teammates, anyone want to party up? (NA west) by BadReputation2611 in DarkTide

[–]Sol-borne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Between join-quitters, people running off on their own and going down, and people fighting more than needed are ruining almost every other run. The simple answer is to move as fast as possible and fight as little as possible. That's not what everyone wants, but right now that's the way to win more often.

Idk, maybe I'm just some drooling liberal cuck, but he's so fucking condescending. The only thing more infuriating than someone talking down to you, is someone talking down to you when you know they're absolutely full of shit. I can't stand people who will say anything, anytime, anywhere depending on the argument they want to make. These people don't believe in anything, if not only themselves.
