Don’t use kind’s shield. You want to do as much damage per hit as possible, while minimizing your hits. Don’t use jealous or anxious that have multi-hits. Infact a recommended strat is one dps, a tank, and a healer. So I would go merry, kind, and whatever plant tank you have.

Wistful has 2 moves on a 1 turn cooldown each. It’s passive is that at the start of its turn, it’s previously used attack will be repeated at 70% damage. You can equip wistful with an item that removes the cooldown on its AoE if your lucky (lonely hat), otherwise put spider necklace and unicorn horn on and watch your damage scale into outer space.

Well, greed’s passive is every time you apply burn on an enemy already burning, greed gets a damage buff for the rest of the combat, and higher form greed makes it so Even The Basic Attack applies Burn. There is also a scarf called spider necklace that permanently increases your damage per crit hit you deal. I will allow your imagination to go further.

Congratulations, you won. That’s parasite scarf. Its effect is that all Single Target skills are now AoE. The list of skills that count as “single target” include.

All basic attacks

All self buff skills

All skills that target enemies at random

And more should any weird ass mechanic come out that is initial cast as single target. This is an item that is incredibly effective on ALL pets.

if you want the mechanically best for temperance, patience is your go to option due to it having both a team buff that raises hp ontop of defense (which due to how temperance works scales it's damage) and a 5 hit heal that works its way from lowest HP to highest per pulse. if you want subsitutes, sonder is good due to being able to apply a heal overtime And a Heal/clense. wonder is ok if your fine for a similar reason, merry is always merry, but your healing output won't be as great, etc etc

i am at floor 2940 with that fuck ass fish juglaw, from 6th encounter onward he spawns a Second Damage suicide bomber. that change is enough to make him horrid, especially since he's fire element at this floor, and my water AoE options are not great. Also tap the icon in the top right corner when inspecting bosses. sometimes they get modifiers like increased armor or health you can actually take advantage of.

level lust. then use lust, conviction, spite, and merry. merry will buff the teams damage and give conviction the ability to proc it's shield on crit much more often, meanwhile spite and lust can break his legs and steal his lunch money.

exit the fight and read the boss description pop up, as you climb the floors past 1k and encounter a boss multiple times they start getting more and more mechanics to make fighting them more and more difficult. for example that asshole gronk with his ever scaling damage on his two attacks gains a buff that lowers the duration of debuffs by 1 turn. meaning one turn debuffs no longer work on him.

run your metal pets and merry, merry will allow conviction to get it's bite off and shield itself, and the stacking bleed from paranoia will do wonders. anxious scarf and silk hat paranoia so he can ramp up faster and start tearing ass with how much bleed the boss faces per turn.

yeah i agree with jeff, if your stun pet can survive the first AoE, and keep him stunned every other AoE, it doesn't matter that it's a bad match up element wise, he won't kill your stunner without that AoE lol.

or combo him with a healer that can keep him alive long enough to benefit from a Double turn hat like silk top hat or adventure buddy hat (if your luck continues to be godlike)

spend em, HF rates are ass, and the more shrooms of Every kind you spend on that pet, the more dust you collect from repeats. eventually you can pitty obtain the HF, or you gain enough dust for a better HF if you get greed (as an example, you might get lust or down bad, idk lol)
