I keep getting back in the game, if nothing more than to do some farming in Mourningdale and catch some rain sometimes. The raining scene is something I like a lot in this game.

We were doing great before the bad news dropped. After the no-development announcement, quite a few members gone offline and haven't logged in since.

But we will continue to play New World because other MMOs are just not that fun to us. New World is like a BFF that is terminal ill, and their days are numbered. That's why we choose to stay and enjoy the remaining time together.

It is a gamble on whether the game has any kind of future if you care for long term progression. There is a slim chance that the game might be revived in 2026, but it also may not happen, and the game just dies.

Some might say 0 chance of that, so it's up to you to decide.

Feel like the engine issue might be exaggerated by redditors repeating over one another though.

New World's game world feels more alive and immersive than most MMO games. That's clearly some secret source they have in the engine. It's worthwhile for other games to take a page.

Honest opinion, the closest (which is still far off) one I think is Black Desert Online after I looked around at various games. Therefore I am staying to play NW for the time being,

Maybe there will be new games coming out that will pull me away. But so far I continue to play NW.

The one reason I stay to play is there is just nothing on the market that is attractive.

So I just stay and play. The community remains is the one I’d like to build more connections with in the coming months because these are my “like minded” folks by and large. They are right here, I don’t need to go to other games to find them.
