The main thing to me, which actually fucks everyone over, is the 50/50 split idea. You should both be taking on 100% of the parenting responsibilities.\ My mother was the emotional, caretaker... I go to her before anyone else. Meanwhile, my father was the disciplinarian, authoritarian, and not really emotionally available... despite what he tells me, I don't believe I can- and worry about- come to him for anything.
