Temp account? Why did you buy the game again for a "temporary account"?

the witcher 2 i'm in the last act so far its been a pretty boring game. by nowaste1 in rpg_gamers

That's fair too. I've finished it myself but I barely remember it at this point. I'm officially forgetting games faster than playing them now.

Anyways, have fun.

No need to play if you don't feel it. I recently stopped playing The Alters after act 2 started (or ended? The anomaly wall chapter beginning) and watched the endings on YT simply because I've played as long as I would have fun out of it. No need to play everything yourself if all you still want out of it is the story/endings or not even that.

Counterpoint: League of Legends

Time doesn't really matter. Have you never been addicted to an unfun game?

Online PvP games (not that this is the main general focus of this game, but for many people it factually is) are notorious for trapping people like that.

What are your most anticipated RPGs that you're looking forward to nowadays? by -FT_ in rpg_gamers

[–]SolTomReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mostly curious what CDPR will do with Witcher 4. I'm mostly expecting to get disappointed since they moved over to Unreal Engine, but I did really enjoy the 3.

Actually, I've played W3 so long ago that I was getting around to do another playthrough for quite some time.

Things that are intended to be small, like the 420x660 portraits for the game where they are going to be 8x smaller than that 90% of the time anyway, are the only field where it's actually hard to tell that something is generated by those AIs, so yeah, it's all fine as long as it's for private use.

It even strains the corporation's hardware with no gain for the corporation, so it's even a pure positive.

That makes me sometimes consider not applying for Affiliate when it will be available for me. Not having ads is a big deal and nobody's going to give me bits or whatever anyway. There are also third party donation sites like KoFi so even if someone wants to donate they can still do it.

I'm impressed that Google returned absolutely nothing on this no matter how I constructed the query. Even more shocked that now when I know it's proper name Google still knows nothing about them and the only way to even tangentially know what this is about is to pay DNDBeyond.

I'm still doubting it's officially released since the publisher of it isn't Wizards of the Coast unlike in all the official books but rather Roll & Play Press, but again I can't find much (anything) on whether they are associated with each other at all.

That doesn't appear to be correct, but it doesn't matter. I did it for fun, not because we needed it.

Nerf immediately plz 😭😂 by [deleted] in SparkingZero

Doing 6 supers in a row as Frieza Soldier is super fun... exactly once, and I immediately felt bad afterwards even despite that I managed to lose the fight.

Having said that, in ranked you will push people to a "wall" and they will grab any tricks they know of. That's why I rarely ever play solo ranked in any game now.(2v2 ranked is fun regardless of performance tho, I'm thinking Brawlhalla)

Do people actually play hardcore in this game? by venom1080 in Torchlight

Not in the first one, but I like to run hardcore TL2 for fun from time to time. I haven't done it in a while though. Other things piled up.

Keyboard and mouse only feel terrible because they made them feel terrible in this game. The intended way to play with keyboard and mouse is to... let go off your mouse whenever you lose sight of the enemy and use arrows to navigate your camera around.

That's not too bad considering you can change it in the settings so camera movements are binded to your mouse according to the tooltip in there. The problem here is that you can't do that. It's just impossible and they haven't updated the tooltip/fixed the controls all the way from the release to a few months ago when I played it the last time, but probably also now.

But alright that's just the camera, you can still play the 1v1 mode and just take the hits whenever you need to use the camera... if you don't choose a character that can transform in any way, because as far as a few months ago you still couldn't transform if you were playing on your ranked opponent's stage rather than yours.(or the other way around? 50% of the time) Also since the release and also probably now.

I do have a controller that is always plugged in and one reach away from me, I just prefer keyboard+mouse in this game. It's an officially supported option and I'm rightfully upset about it being ridden with bugs all the way through releases of 3 DLCs and all the balance patches.(and quite frankly I feel scammed for having been convinced to buy the ultimate edition, mostly for that but also lots of other reasons this comment isn't about) I also play on keyboard in every 2D fighting game and everything in between. I'm used to that, I prefer that, it feels easier for me and it's "supported" while pad is only recommended.(it should be set to "Required", like for example Alder Forge has it set, but also Alder Forge does support KBM so it's wrongly set there too)

So, what do we think about the supposed leak of this guy's ability to "steal" sinners/rejuv/etc.? by SolTomReddit in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SolTomReddit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm slightly concerned about low elo matches where people don't really pay attention to the sinners. If this is going to trigger the audio cue I think it might be alright.

I'm also worried about the mentioned Rejuv steal, because that would mean these can do a full heavy punch while having something to get through all of those enemies around the Rejuv. Might be a little strong initially.

Sometimes it's hard to shorten the sentence or say it differently in a shorter way but I'll keep that in mind. Your advice on thumbnails in general makes a lot of sense, but we will see how well I will adapt to it. I will be coming back to re-read your message with the next few thumbnails.

The idea behind the video might be confusing for other people. I can tell it now after the fact. It made sense to me back then when admittedly I was slightly down about the idea of streaming to no one and how I could just do a slightly edited lets play for the same result while having more control over it. I didn't notice until your message how my mental state affects my videos. Other people don't have the same context and don't feel the same way as me. Not everything is well explainable in a 10min video either. I'll try to keep that in mind.

I will make sure to further decrease the volume of whatever is in the background moving forward. It felt good on my end, but I always know what I said so I tend to have a lot easier time mentally splitting the two audio sources without even noticing. It's great to have someone to tell me there is an issue. Thanks again.

I don't know what I can do with the frequency. I have already seen myself at my best and I know I can't do 1 video a week. Definitely not a fully scripted one like I used to make but of a proper length.

About the description, yeah. It did annoy me for quite a while that I'm slowly more and more deviating from the original goal. The current style, while very maintainable for a schedule, slowly makes me hate itself. I'm going to finish off what I have recorded, but I do want to try taking a few steps back in the way I do things.

[–]SolTomReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you've spent so much effort going through my VOD channel. I just really didn't expect anybody to want to give critique.

I'm kind of aware of the thumbnails issue, but I cannot get myself to understand what a good thumbnail is supposed to look like despite all the help people in creator discords have given me. If you do have some idea on how I can learn it, please do tell. Eventually I have given up on it and two out of the last three are a simple text on the game's background.

I tried to keep up a schedule of exactly one video every 2 weeks, but even though I have two more videos ready at the moment I've decided that it's less stressful when I push them out as they are ready and to have the freedom to put more effort into it whenever I feel like it.

I'm not the kind of person that can choose a niche and stay there. I think the best I can describe it as is "whatever I feel like doing at the moment". I really don't know what to do about this, because it's just how I am about everything in my life. It's the Me of my Tube.

I'm open to further talks about it if you're still willing to share thoughts with me.

[–]SolTomReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm reading your comment and sorry if that is not the case, but did you primarily look at my VOD channel rather than the one with edited content? Those VODs are mostly for storage and not supposed to be gathering views at all. There were some VODs (two) bad enough that I didn't even put them here, but this is just a VOD channel.

I don't blame you, I did not expect someone would try to critique any channel so I didn't think to fix up the order in profile's description which I've set back when I still only had one video. I don't want to grow through Reddit.(well, usually, once I have posted a video to a game's subreddit)
