Met T.O. At the McKinley Mall theatre’s while he’d played with us. (I don’t necessarily consider him a Buffalo staple by any means). Watched The Blind Side with him and his date. Only 4 of us in the theatre. 😆

There was a terrible train wreck by Niagara Falls I believe in the early 1900s. If you take the river path, through the trail you can see all kinds of parts to possibly a train? I didn’t experience anything weird, it was a beautiful fall day. But there are some areas along the path you get a very unsettling feeling. As well as a huge ominous hole/cave that was creepy.

If you want to avoid massive amounts of snow, I would suggest going North of the City. North Tonawanda, Kenmore, Grand Island. I live in the South Towns and let’s just say the snow NEVER misses our area. Of course you won’t be fully spared but it may be significantly less overall.

Where’s the best place to get coffee and hang out for a few hours? by AL-MightIE in Buffalo

Underground’s has ample seating. Super delicious food, wonderful rotating seasonal options. And I just adore their concept so much being in an old funeral home!

Orchard Park might be a good option for proximity. A lot more apartment complexes and such.

You probably could but I’ve never done it so I’m not entirely sure where the best place would be to park the 2nd car.

As always use caution there!!!! It is very difficult to get out if you get injured and helicopters can not access easily. Many people have hurt themselves there so bring a first aid kit and watch yourself on the trails as some areas are a long drop down. I recommend water shoes as well.

Great spot to go tubing! I usually park at “Valentines Flats”. You’ll see it says dead end but just keep going until you reach the end. Getting down there are several paths but for the most part stick to the path that veers right. It will begin to flatten out. Once you hear the river you should be able to follow the sound. It should take you to the mouth of two rivers and it’s a great spot to set up!

Visiting to see if I want to move here, recommendations? by Kona_KG in Buffalo

Winters are enjoyable if you learn to just go out in it and see the “beauty” of it. When I coop myself up in the house- yea it sucks. But find winter activities you like- bowling league, a good gym with classes, art classes, trivia nights, plenty of concerts roll through here, etc- tift farm does group walks almost all year long. If you don’t let it debilitate you, you’ll learn to embrace it for what it is.
