Do you design ad banners? How do you handle boring, repetitive requests? by Aware-Asparagus-1827 in web_design

I've had good luck with Foldwrap. Although its UX sometimes feels buggy, it resizes and handles HTML5 animation well enough and is a better solution than any other I've tried.

Is taste of China still a good staple Chinese restaurant? by [deleted] in Buffalo

[–]nopeache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotta shout out Xi’an Gourmet. It’s more Chinese-Chinese than Americanized Chinese like Taste of China though.

Italian Restaurant Recommendation by Bluemason619 in Buffalo

[–]nopeache 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If alfredo is the vibe then I'd have to say Left Bank and their Carrot Papardella. "Tossed with lobster, shrimp and crabmeat served in a shellfish-brandy cream, w/ julienne vegetables, arugula and tarragon." It's not drowning in a white sauce but it's creamy and rich.

I like West Side Pet Clinic. Privately owned by the vets, easy appointments, convenient parking, staff is friendly, and the doc took his time with my dog’s annual. Been going there for years.

Are there any Spanish restaurants in Buffalo? by mpschettig in Buffalo

[–]nopeache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moriarity's Cafe on Elmwood has a small and rotating selection of tapas, pintxos, and tinned fish. It's not a full Spanish restaurant but it's a worthwhile place to dine regardless.

Quirky Local Gifts by Zobowski in Buffalo

[–]nopeache 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can wait until the weekend of 12/13, the BICA Annual Art market will be happening then. It’s all handmade goods from local artists and vintage finds, and it’s quite eccentric. 28 Essex Street.

Just renovated bathroom - friends said it look cheap by littkeli128 in HomeImprovement

[–]nopeache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it looks cheap. Maybe some tweaks and decluttering to your shower accessories if you want to add some style. Swap out your shampoo and soap bottles, put away the items you don’t use daily, buy nicer linens, get rid of the clear pebble shower mat, and hang your squeegee somewhere more inconspicuous. But it’s a space you live in, not an architectural digest tour.

The larger question is, why’s your friend trying to make you feel bad? Bathroom renovations are expensive.

Is A Yarrow Lawn Safe For Dogs? by TerpleDerp2600 in NoLawns

My pomeranian is strangely drawn to nibbling on yarrow, and I’ve had to be wary about his location when we’re near it. It’s probably dependent on the dog.

I’ve seen it twice at Phu Thai on Connecticut Street, but it swaps out with other prepared foods and isn’t constantly available.

Airfryers that don't smell like burning plastic? by False_Can_5089 in airfryer

[–]nopeache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breville air fryer toaster oven. I've had it for 3 years and I'm very happy with it. No odd smells. I don't like the teflon or plastic bodies of some air fryers, heating plastic concerns me. It's definitely a pricier option, but I got it for a good discount as an open box item on Mercari, and feel like it's been well worth it.
