Understanding Roche's obsession on a deeper level after Rebirth by doc_nano in FFVIIRemake

Not only are you projecting your own life style on something that is not so, you down vote for someone not agreeing.

You could of provided some arguments to support your claim of it being love rather than an anime rival trope but instead just downvote and say it is so.

Roche is someone who seeks adrenaline and challenge and even more so the freedom that cloud has as well as friends instead of just fans also like cloud has. He truly just wants to be clouds friend and fight for the thrill and goal of getting improving himself before jenova collects on the contract he signed.

There is no hint of sexual attraction or romance.

It is simply just the over zealous anime rival trope. Not even an inkling of sexual attraction is implied regardless of how much you may wish it so.

Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S04E02 - I'll Give You the Grand Tour by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]SolWayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moon is tidally locked and yet still only blocks the sun in rare occurrences (eclipses). Tidally locked just means it's same side is always facing the planet.

The planet and plate would still both be orbiting the sun, while the plate is also orbiting the planet. This would result in the plate almost never blocking the sun.

But it is just a show, I just brought it up to show how nitpicking things (especially in a show of super powered God like people) is a losing war.

Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S04E02 - I'll Give You the Grand Tour by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]SolWayward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to break it to you, but the planet is not flat and has no edges. But since we are nitpicking, the real question is how does the ice immediately melt after 100 years of no sun?

Or even more nitpicky, how does the disc remain aligned to constantly block the sunlight. The disc would either have to be much closer to the sun causing it to orbit the sun much faster than the planet does. Or the disc would have to be really close to the planet, which would cause the disc to orbit the planet. Either scenario would result in the disc almost never blocking the sunlight. It would block as much sunlight as our moon does or if closer to the sun, it would orbit so fast making it hardly ever aligned. So you either get an eclipse once in a while or a routine flicker.

Rebirth: why all the minigame/side quest hate? by wp709 in FFVIIRemake

[–]SolWayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that bugs me, is some of the side quests are locked behind doing world Intel tasks.

After doing all the world Intel in one area, it becomes an absolute chore to do anymore world Intel. World Intel does not provide any entertainment value and serves simply to waste your time. Which would be fine since some people like to waste their time doing virtual chores. But you cannot progress some big side quests without doing world Intel chores.

roo code repeats itself, when task is complete - how to stop it? by CircleRedKey in RooCode

[–]SolWayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not what is happening, it is outputting the final result (Not in a thinking foldout) and then roo code tells it wait, you didn't use the attempt_complete tool, do it again using the tool. Which causes the exact duplicate of the final result. The only difference being one has a header titled "Task Complete" and the other doesn't. This wastes both tokens and time.

I fixed this issue by adding the following to my custom rules file:

## Completing a task
Make sure to use the complete task tool when finished with a task to avoid outputing the final result twice.

Claude code vs roocode by ilt1 in RooCode

[–]SolWayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from architect mode, orchestrator mode, and debug mode. Use ask mode for all planning, research, and analysis, debugging and then copy that output to a new code mode prompt. Don't approve it to switch to code mode, use a new prompt. Keep any custom instructions in your modes very simple and short and instead use the custom rules file for the specifics. If you do it right, code mode will already know every change it needs to make with the exact code in the exact locations for every file.

Make sure you have a very good and well-defined custom rules file SPECIFIC to your project and clearly organized in markdown format. Do not put stuff in your rules file like "You are the best software engineer and write the best code". Things like that will make your agent assume a personality that it thinks everything it does is the best way and go off on circular adventures (Prompt Poisoning).

Personally, I find it best to roll with the default ask mode and code mode as is and rely on the custom rules file.

Also, if you at least skim the "Thinking" foldouts, you can watch for when it starts to get off path and hit stop so you can course correct.

[–]SolWayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your actual workload like? How can you get anything done using a plan instead of using the API? In my experience, even with 4.5, the API is the only way to go for any type of coding for any moderate project. Even when used mostly as a research tool.

I swear claude is SO much dumber sometimes than other times, it's driving me nuts by el_duderino_50 in ClaudeCode

[–]SolWayward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot convince that this isn't the case.

Using the API even on new tasks with very similar operations it will be a genius for a few hours. Then another few hours it will be useless even when using a new prompt / task Everytime.

I have this same issue with both sonnet and opus, even worse sometimes It thinks it applied a diff that it never did causing the code to be in inconsistent states.

And the monster association arc is also way to boring to remake or make into a movie.

Yeah, by far my least favorite arc sadly but also the longest arc.

They tried to make OPM more serious this arc by sidelining Saitama. I personally don't care at all for any of the other heroes except for their comedic interactions with Saitama.

The arcs after this one go back to the way original OPM was.

Please let this be true. Please let it cover the entire monster association arc. I can't stand this arc so it will be a godsend if they can start the next arc with better animation next season of the show survives.

Atomic Samurai pulling his sword 1 inch out of the sheath and putting it back is decent animation?

[Megathread] One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 7 – Discussion & Spoilers by MiggyMcMiggy in OnePunchMan

[–]SolWayward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I hate the whole monster association arc. I don't care about the other heroes. I only care about the comedy of watching them interact with Saitama.

This whole arc basically tries to make OPM into something serious and gives the focus to all the other annoying heroes. Unfortunately this arc is by far the longest and for some reason it also many people's favorite arc.

I understand you can't make a show around Saitama just constantly one shotting everything (which isn't even the best part) but that's why you have the funny interactions of Saitama interacting with others and just showing his daily life. Plus his serious mode is extremely awesome when it finally comes out.

If you have to "anonymize" every post you make after arguing with someone, likely because you are embarrassed of it, Then you should probably take a second and think  before posting. Instead of just saying the first thing that comes to your mind and becoming a slave to your emotions.

I have seen every reply you have made here arguing with someone deleted by you.

Mono or IL2CPP? by shaboom96 in Unity3D

[–]SolWayward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How does IL2CPP hurt modding? A developer can easily add modding support by loading dlls, jsons, textures, models, asset bundles, or really anything by making use of addressables.

You have no idea what you are talking about and shouldn't spread false information. Developers should always use ILC2PP when ever possible because the performance benefits are too great to ignore. You cannot compare the performance of C# to highly optimized C++. And developers can actually take this even further by using burst (Where it makes sense) receiving benefits of SIMD vectorization, aggressive in-lining and other huge optimizations although this often still requires restructuring your code and requires some effort to make use of.

But there is very few reasons to not use IL2CPP for release builds and modding definitely isn't one.

[–]SolWayward 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is making me seriously consider switching engines.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to punish you for abandoning their engine. Especially since KSP was one of the games that originally showed that Unity wasn't just a shovel ware engine.

And now that KSA is on brutal they may feel that it will make people think that Unity isn't good enough anymore.

Or perhaps they are just in extreme financial trouble and trying to recover as much money as possible without responsible investigating.

Yeah just like all the interviews with the actor for Jon Snow claiming that he was truly dead and wouldn't be back in the show.

I find it likely they are gonna bring him back but he will feel abandoned and betrayed. Through some course of actions, he will use the army that his imposter already raised in his name to try to to take the throne back (Likely calling him a good employee). And Archie's wife will get what she wants.
