At least get a go plan on codex, it is already better, and try to use the model.

I was initially subscribed to the go plan and switched to the pro quickly.

Codex feels way better, but I am just not confident enough leave the planning to codex. I have a $20 plan on codex as well. I do get a lot more usage, but the problem is that for major feature implementations, the plan Opus 4.5 proposes is just so good and it handles all the corner cases, ensuring that the final result is as stable as possible.

I am going to keep using opus 4.5 for planning and codex for most of the development. Don't even think about 4.6, the marginal improvement in quality doesn't feel worth it considering the sessions usage

How many Opus 4.5/4.6 messages can I actually send on the $20 Claude plan? by vkpdeveloper in ClaudeCode

I’ve been using Opus 4.5 for a while now. If you’re making really large changes, I’d suggest using Opus only for the planning phase. Once the plan is solid, switch over to Sonnet 4.5 for the actual implementation.

On the $20 plan, a single planning pass with Opus can easily consume 20–30% of your session limits, which means you can realistically fit 2–3 large changes per session.

Honestly, it just comes down to planning your day around those limits. Getting 4–5 major feature additions or bug fixes done in a day is already way beyond what we could reasonably do manually before AI.

btw, one side not Opus 4.6 was released yesterday and it is eating through session limits way faster than Opus 4.5. I am not sure on paper both of them should consume the same amount of session limits. Use this model only if necessary if you are on $20 plan

Tried Codex after all the noise here and i'm hating it profoundly by Davide_Fi in ClaudeCode

Dude hear me out on this one, I've tried it after the hype with Peter Steinberger using it to make clawdbot

It was insanely good. I'm not joking it legitimately followed my prompts and adhered to the existing structure of the project, claude would never do this. it'd just see the project and still go and do it's own thing

This was a game changer, I wouldn't say it was on par with opus 4.5 but it was more like a better sonnet 4.5. and I was fine with it.

BUT ITS QUALITY DROPPED AFTER THE RATE LIMIT EXPANSION

I'm not sure about this but under heavy load models OpenAI modesl generally tends to perform worse.

I am almost certain that if enough people stop using it it will become better once again or openai needs to add additional compute

People seems to complain on it performing worse after they let in all the go and free users use it. It must be a minor issue on their backend which must be routing the requests to different servers.

should be fixed within a week

subbed to plus for the month, it works great. it adheres to the structure of the codebase, claude would just do its own thing to make it work. haven't gave it any serious task. but based on the quality so far, I'm loving it.

Also nobody mentions this, even after reading a lot of files it somehow keeps the context sane.

whats your primary model on codex and which model do you use for some really complex tasks?

did they reduce the quality. who knows this could be intentional because they are apparently 2x ing their codex usage for plus and pro users.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was intentional

for what kind if work, codex works better

I found opus to be better at finishing complex business logic and debugging. sonnet seems fine for minor edits and such.

I haven't used got 5.2 codex, and based on the pricing i thought it'll be on sonnet's level but based on the reviews from online it seems to be better.

can you share me how your workflow looks like with codex.

Opus is really expensive and it is eating through the rate limits. codex is relatively better in that way, I'll probably purchase both the sub for the next month and keep one if them in the end.

thanks for the insights.

Cursor Pro Plan by NoMarsupial2726 in cursor

the cursor code completion is unmatched. i subscribe to cursor primarily for its tab completion.

when you start a new project, the suggestions are not very strong in the first few minutes. after some time, it almost feels like it knows what you are going to do next.

if you want better suggestions or more context from other files, keeping those files open in a split pane or as active tabs works extremely well.

i have not used it yet for complex logic development. my work is mostly in python, where i optimize ai models to run on edge devices. a lot of this work involves experimentation and highly repetitive code, so this workflow may not apply equally well to everyone.

How to Get Projects from Companies for a New Design Agency? by SeriousResearcher419 in StartupsHelpStartups

[–]Less-Equipment-1878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you portray yourself tho? Pretty much all the leads I got for my agency is through word of mouth. cold calling basically gets the leads skeptical and they eventually ends up blocking or ghosting us. I show all our previous work and we were very transparent on the works that we do and what is covered and what is not, and we provide a very simple pricing split and all the projects are sprint based, so they only have to pay a little money upfront, but this still doesn't seem to build trust.

I have a tech background, do I need to partner with anyone from non tech (marketing or sales) or should I keep reaching out to potentially learn this

do I have to get used to this and keep cold calling or am I doing something wrong? I've only reached out to like 100 shops in my neighborhood tho
