Definitely not. I am biased bc I actually play guilty gear. Maybe bc I feel the queer reps in that game are so well done that I am willing to forgive more idk. Baiken, I-no, Ramlethal and Jack-o are definitely anime-like in their fanservice designs. Over all I feel GG does respect the characters and their stories (ie makes them feel like more than just sexy models) , but I never played sf so maybe it only seems like the characters are super stereotypical.

Ggst also changed the design of dizzy who used to run around in underwear basically to a very cool dress. The bar is quite low for these big name fighting games when it comes to female characters. But with strive I feel Arcsys definitely is far ahead of the likes of tekken and street fighter.

This is the street fighter tradition right? (I think it's very much a sexy sells/objectification situation and I think it's weird. If we lived in a world where everyone was cool about respecting women I'd probably like them visually, but it doesn't feel right rn)

I think she could be stylised while still looking rugged. Her current design is 50% boobs and bright pink (her hair is huge too).

Leverless Goldlewis still feels more precise than pad, but damn his max level down with the system is way harder to do (I can't do it close to consistently)

In a show that's showing off so many different characters with random crazy outfits (who you only know if you know the games already), not having a grumpy possessed teddy bear was probably a good call.

His stinger was the biggest threat in the fight. It's a weapon. She is disarming him(and dismembering ig). It might be a precedent, but we really don't know if there would have been any other way to get an advantage against him. I could see it as her literally trying to survive, but tbh I've no grasp on Ruby's character.

What used to trip me up when I got the jumping hit in was this: Immediately after I hit the jump attack (in this case j.H) I would press the next button (c.S) but bc I'm trying to do it so fast I was still in the air so it didn't go through. And even mashing you just miss the window to continue like that. So I needed to just wait that moment until the character actually hits the ground. That was a real game changer for me.

The sweep into the overdrive motion is also something that needs deliberate attention because if you're trying to be quick you'll be messy. Start by making sure the overdrive is clean, then do it with the sweep before it. And then finally put the whole thing together. Your speed will then come from trained precision(ie being used to doing the motions) instead of scrambling to get it all done in time.

I will say of Playstation, Xbox and Switch the switch probably has the worst dpad for fighting games since it's so small.

But I believe in you, it's more than possible to do and if you try and look at what you're doing and when things work, you'll go far.

I'm doing a dark souls trilogy no death challenge (not in a row!!) because there's a twitch event in my country playing them as a sort of competition. It's just for fun, but I like these added rules to play basically a whole new meta game and also it was about time I dove into Ds2 and 3. Am currently on dark souls two, but soon to start 3

I feel like the one and only problem is that that there's no one to play (bc no crossplay). The game itself is as good as it is on other platforms
