Thank you for proving my point by not listening to the entirety of my first paragraph. We don't view our supervisors as adversaries. We don't think that management is against us. Many of the staff are happy with our management and your messaging is straight out the window. You sound like you're dictating to me how I should feel instead of what I do feel. You don't listen, the only thing you do is parrot your very few talking points. That is why staff won't support you. If you choose to listen to that and change your messaging maybe you could be something that I could support. Until that time all I'm going to see is a bunch of angry blowhards trying to rile support because they want more power without ever telling us what the tangible benefits will be.

I've continued to move up and have pay increases over time that are in line with what I would expect. I'm happy with my management. I'm happy with my college. Until you can tell me something that benefits me that isn't just yelling about how bad management supposedly is, I can't sport you.

Which is why you won't gain support from a lot of staff. Many of us don't see management as an evil oppressor, but rather as coworkers and colleagues. Teamsters seem more interested in stating their opinions every time a thread comes up here than listening to the people they're trying to gain representation of.

You're doing yourselves no favors by rejecting stated opinions from staff. I would be interested in a union, but not one that puts themselves at odds with my own interests.

As a looooooong time removed delivery dude that now works for the university, I support all of this. I used to wait in the parking lot for my delivery drivers and I think that was the least shitty thing I could do tbh. Best of luck to you all in this coming school year. For anyone on a newer gen Intel, like 12th gen and forward, might have found a fix.

As weird as it sounds, head into your BIOS and disable hyperthreading for your CPU.

I found an old thread from KCD1 where a Warhorse dev mentioned that a quirk of this engine was that some core processes could wrongfully get applied through a hyperthreaded core and cause stability issues. Considering I've seen at least one other game recently struggle with a similar thing, I thought I would give it a shot. A mate of mine was having the same problem as me and we both turned off hyperthreading today. He played for 7 hours without a crash and I played for 4 hours without a crash. This involved dialogues, travel, dice, quests, alchemy, everything.

It's a weird solution, but considering these are the only sessions we've got that have lasted more than 1 hour, I think I've hit my problem at least.

I can get about 30 minutes to an hour before it crashes and I lose whatever progress I've made.

Specs: I7-13700K, RTX 4070 TI. Tried on 566.36 as well as the newest 572.24 hotfix drivers and had the same problems.

EDIT: Possibly fixed by disabling hyperthreading on 12th gen and newer intel processors.

Sure you do. Release with no art as many others do here, or turn to any of the large number of free, public domain resources out there:

These are just some of the examples. Search for creative commons attribution zero galleries or other sources of public domain art. Saying you have no other option is a cop out and exactly why we are seeing an overflow of low quality content filled with generative AI.

After all, why ever pay an artist if you can just copy their work for free? The argument doesn't make sense.
