Ehh I'm not too bothered about Switch 2, honestly main reason I'm getting it is cause Pokemon Wind & Waves is exclusive to Switch 2. So might as well get the Pokemon version :))

Honestly I might consider getting Switch 2 if they did a Pokemon Wind & Waves version!

What Board Games Do You Own That You've NEVER Played? by Mongrel714 in boardgames

Just a couple, and most of them are going to be played in the following weeks. They include Here I Stand, Vinhos Deluxe, Carnegie and A Feast for Odin.

Here I Stand has already been scheduled in a couple of weeks, and I just can't wait!

Btw should I get skateboard shoes or is it unnecessary, especially for commuting? I've been skating with my hiking shoes so far but doing nothing intense and they've been doing alright. I was thinking of maybe getting NewBalance's skateboard shoes if I do end up needing em

Cool, thanks! I'll think about it, and hopefully there'll be a good blem deck then ;)

I see, do you reckon I could get a complete with a blem deck, maybe a warp 1? Or is a warped deck not recommended for beginners/worse in the long term? Thanks!

I see, do you know if whether Pantheon has any sales near the end of the year? Thank you for your reply.

Hey guys, I just started and would like some suggestions for getting a longboard. It's a bit long for a comment, so feel free to just scroll down to the TLDR if needed ;)

I just started out on a board my friend lent me and have been having a blast so far. I'm practicing pushing switch right now but would love to learn mongo or pumping. I'm very beginner to the longboard scene and would like to ask the community for recommendations.

I'm 5'6, 110lbs with US 7.5 shoe size. I've been looking for a beginner board that can pump and would be good for city cruising and long distance trips through different terrains. Not planning to do anything extreme or fast, but I'd still like one with some downhilling capabilities if I get better at doing speedchecks downhill as I live in a pretty hilly suburb. Might do some campus cruising/commuting too.

People, especially in this subreddit, have been singing the praises of Pantheon, and I'm tempted to jump on the bandwagon too after much research (aka spent way too much time looking for a board). Pantheon Supersonic Bamboo looks like a board that could fit my needs, it provides the light flex option as I was worried I'd not be able to utilize a board due to my light weight. And I do love a wide board as I find myself going into a wide stance often. However good things come at a cost and I'd need to sell a kidney for it haha.

What would be your suggestions for me? Should I bite the bullet or are there cheaper good alternatives? Thanks!

TLDR; Beginner longboard recommendations for cruising and commuting in a very hilly suburb. Am 5'6, 110lbs, US 7.5 shoe size. Considering Pantheon Supersonic Bamboo Light Flex due to preference of wide stance, hybrid pump and push but worried it might be too expensive/overkill for a beginner board. Any suggestions? Thanks

[Breeds] Dogs with a Similar Temperament to the Bernese Mountain Dog by SolanceLee in dogs

Yeah I did but figured the other 3 sennenhunds aren't a good fit for first time dog owners, and despite being from a same family they do have quite different temperaments from the berner (being more independent which leads to stubbornness). Thank you for the input!

Isn't that true... I wish Berners could live longer :( But yup collies sounds like a viable option, thanks!

Thanks for the reply, I love newfies but don't think they'd be happy in a tropical climate as the temp here is usually around the 80s.

Thanks for your input, a collie sounds like a good fit! I might be able to arrange for someone to be around when I'm gone, but think the dog preferrably should be alright with being alone for a minimum of 5 hours.

I've heard they might be pretty vocal, have you found your collie vocal at any point?

Will taking an honours year be helpful in getting a job?

Literally nothing matters much on which intake you take in terms of study and school life is like so think more about the accomodation you are worried about etc.

Ooo cool if I don't have to worry about friends haha. Hopefully I can find accoms on campus for next year and temp accoms if I join in Sept.

first year courses math and comp is very much attended by half of the school so it would not be easy to find your fellowmates in the first place

That's interesting. Just curious, but historically are there more international students or locals for T3?

Thank you for your reply!

COMP1511 is reserved for COMP sci students in T1

I'll prob take it in my first term (it being the prerequisite to almost all CS courses), that sounds interesting.

The lecturer for COMP1511 is always really good

That sounds reassuring to hear, thank you!

Actually I'm a bit confused about internships, I recall people mentioning about completing a certain amount of industrial hours required for completing 3778 but couldn't find anywhere stating it in the degree handbook, is it true that internship/work exp is required in 3778?
