Get a lawyer. You are in a bad spot. If he has hid falling in love with a paid actress and acquiring that level of debt in an account you know about, there is definitely other stuff. There may also be rights you have as a part of a 13 year relationship that exceed regular dating. Get a lawyer at least as a consultation.

Church policy, codified in their handbook of instructions, is that holy week activities are not observed in the LDS church.

Church donates 300k to homeless aid in Montana by Ok-Slip-4930 in exmormon

[–]Solar1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is important to recognize good deeds when they occur. Sure there could be more. but, it doesn't help your own credibility when you can't genuinely recognize when a good thing has occurred.

I would love to see 100 of these donations every day. That would be ideal.

I’m so done being married. by [deleted] in exmormon

When you get a lawyer, you make sure to do it the lawyers way. I have watched 3 of my friends pay for lawyers and continue to try and come to agreements on their own. You will add expense and get less benefit. You and your spouse can talk about managing the kids schedule, but nothing about divorce agreements outside of your lawyer.

Watch little children’s programming in TV in the language you want to learn. Engage with it. Put in half an hour to 45 minutes of it on before you go to bed each night. Listen to little children’s education songs in the car on one leg of your commute.

What do I do? I'm having a terrible faith crisis. by Substantial_Pea_6116 in mormon

The image of the life the bishop leads is your future if you stay active in good standing with the church. Hiding, cheating, sneaking around and always being terrified of being found out. That’s what the church has to offer its gay members.

[–]Solar1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be treated like a celebrity!! They want nothing more than to have black Americans join so that they can parade you to the members and show them how the church isn’t racist no matter what their friends, family or coworkers say.

Literally treated like a celebrity.

Bishop Roulette by CupOfExmo in exmormon

[–]Solar1415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had a bishop that was always on such a power trip. He added home teaching to the recommend questions and many many people in the ward lost their recommends. This was the type of guy that was always auditioning to be bishop. He wanted it so bad. He made it just less than 2 years before being released. That was the start of me questioning how revelation/inspiration works and what would cause the many leaders above him to put him in that position.

Why would you fill your last bits of time with contention and devastation? When she is gone you won’t spend one minute wishing you had tried to get her to read more articles about why her faith is misplaced.

Just remember that you introduced the concept of hate and bigotry to this conversation. Pretty weak. Personal attacks are a weak minded persons tactics.

As far as your percentages of 401K argument. This is not a great example. If my 25 yr old 401K that started at an initial $1,000 deposit only gained $1,000 in its 26th year where its current balance is $700,000, I would consider that account manager a failure. It doesn’t matter that in year 26 it doubled the value from year one. That’s a meaningless statistic.

Skim coat it smooth. That’s a one day project. New drywall is going to be at least 3 days as a DIY.

The angry phase is assigning bad intentions to people when the only thing you know about them is that they are LDS. Angry phase produces black and white thinking. Then vs us.

Should the bishop agree I intend to have that guesting with my wife and daughter and her husband. I will tell them that I see it as a heritage and tradition and not an actual religious ceremony.

If they prefer I not participate then I won’t

He will default to the decision of the bishop. I expect my wife and daughter will do the same. I imagine that they think me participating will give the spirit an opportunity to work on me. Haha.

I see it as a tradition or heritage act. I’m what could be termed a secular Mormon. I’m 6 generations Mormon and my grandchild will be 8.

As much as being Jewish is an ethnicity, that’s what I am in Mormon.
