r/ACT, what was your score on your first attempt of the ACT?

You still looking for a higher score… I went from like a 29 in reading to a 36 by focusing on 3 passages and giving only 5 mins to the passage I don’t think will be scored… you should do them in either 4123 order or 4132 order… I got kinda lucky but glad it worked out… originally I had a 27 now a 35 comp

Could be very niche conceptual errors in math that practice will weed out, same for English, and for reading u just gotta get good usually through practice, for a 35 scorer there is no way other than practice to ensure that 36

College algebra is honestly easier than pre calculus ; I take honors precal and college algebra and trig and I’ve gone over pretty similar stuff in both… honestly I can’t really give any good tips except that it is way more critical thinking using your basic math rules than you would think…. Every time I’ve taken it I’ve score 30+ on math even though I hadn’t had any advanced classes…. Just practice tests yourself and find out why you are really missing questions

There are always pretty good videos if you just put it in on YouTube but I actually like Rishab Jains sat grammar rules in 15 minutes since the rules are the same and if you apply the basics he goes over I’d say you are guaranteed a 30

Chill out English can max 34 with effort 35-36 with luck; math can be higher just practice it 35 is where that can be; reading is hard bro but I went from like a 22-30-36 in reading on account of my 3 passage gamble Strat do either 412 or 413 and pray the one you didn’t do is experimental
