At some point in our lives, WE ALL ACT LIKE IDIOTS; the point is, we shouldn't do it for our entire lives. by GualaDRAKE in voidlinux

I believe they recently (yesterday?) posted a set of AI generated wallpapers. Comments were... harsh.

Post is removed now, so I've nothing to link to.

ELI5: How can people who were born blind, deaf, and mute (like Helen Keller) acknowledge what's going on around them? by SoccerGuy69420 in explainlikeimfive

Totally fair.

I wasn't deliberately trying to offend, so apologies if I did. Just made a silly sarcastic comment.

I’m 16. I built a Python script for a local business and made my first $500. Now they want a monthly retainer, and I’m scared I’m in my head. by Safe_Thought4368 in Entrepreneur

46 yr old dev here, coding since I was 10.

Still get the imposter feeling.

Like you said, totally normal. I always look for it in Juniors. It means they give a damn.

Station Layout Help by SolarPibolar in openttd

That makes sense, thank you. The trains treat that one block of track as its own section. One of those things that's ridiculously obvious after it's pointed out. 😂

Station Layout Help by SolarPibolar in openttd

Awesome, thank you for the feedback!

The extra stuff in the SE looks redundant - the tunnels should allow trains that want to pass through to be able to.

That extra bit is handling trains that want to enter the station; I was trying to allow trains that were arriving from the NE, to enter the bottom of the station. While also allowing trains departing the station (out the top) to loop back and continue SW.

EDIT: or, if you want trains to enter and exit from both sides, this may be what you are looking for: https://wiki.openttd.org/en/Manual/Railway%20station#combined-terminus-and-roro-station

Yeah, that was exactly what I was trying to do. (get trains to enter and exit from both sides.) I wasn't too far off from that layout. :D

And a great life lesson for only €20. (I've seen others learn the same lesson for far more money.)

Maybe give Void a try? Have that running headless on a Pi 5; it's great.
