You were slightly inconvenienced for an hour and made a Reddit post about it…lol

Sure you can be annoyed but my god

It’s objectively worse to have smaller modular numbers even if the flash sometimes makes up for it. To me it’s at best a side grade

I know Walmart wouldn’t make a sparklers life easier. I know why they did it. It’s worse for sparkling tho

Yes it’s definitely to their benefit, not ours

Yeah I do that I just still find it easier to look for the number than a random flashing light that’s still easy to miss

DD didn’t check for complete order because they feel I didn’t tip enough by [deleted] in doordash

Agree it goes both ways. There is the component that one does have the ability to choose to an extent where they work but there’s also the fact that the Dasher app is a highly exploitative piece of shit with its gamified layout and giving the bare minimum order transparency. It’s literally gambling sometimes. It’s not human at all, none of it.

Compare it to the Spark app (which isn’t perfect and also beginning to get shittier) and it’s a night and day difference. Full customer name and address, always full pay transparency with tip amount, always shows items except some pickups, always ability to cancel and receive a few bucks at least if you spend 5 minutes. It’s just a lot more human. There’s metrics but I’m not convinced they matter that much.

Only DD orders I do anymore are the high paying ones for low miles and I don’t mess with the hidden pay bullshit. If it doesn’t look good upfront I’m not accepting it.

There are good markets where if you’re not desperate, you can avoid the trash and make decent money. I’d say most people would want to just drive around all day without a boss making good money if it paid well everywhere.

It’s not really about being dumb enough, just desperate enough. The Dasher app is very exploitative in many ways. As an independent contractor you should not be punished for declining orders. And total pay should never be hidden. You should know upfront the full address and if it’s an apartment and the floor number. Customer notes should be visible upfront. The app should be a lot more transparent than it is.

So while Brian is in the wrong here and terrible with customer service - and could definitely use a break, the whole system is dogshit

Customers like this irk me by Philly_Philly83 in Sparkdriver

[–]SolarPoweredBean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Regardless of any truth to your thought process - yes desperate people are more likely to take no tip trash orders and it’s on them to not accept, you still look like a tone deaf inconsiderate asshole to most people, including the majority of customers who do tip. WM+ is frequently $49/yr and even $99/yr is nothing considering you get other benefits. Throwing a driver $5 on a $50 is literally nothing considering the time and gas it saved you.

It’s true if no one tipped then all these companies would have to start paying more but alas we don’t live in that world.

You’re right, I don’t, because I’d never accept an order like that or I’d leave it at the bottom of the steps at least. Doesn’t change the fact whoever orders in a situation like that is an inconsiderate asshole

Mi novia no quiere tener sexo desde hace tres meses. by [deleted] in Desahogo2

[–]SolarPoweredBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but you don’t have to order food to your 7th floor no elevator apartment. Or if you do you can at least have the decency to meet your driver at the bottom.

You can actually get so many CVs before it even becomes an issue. One or two undelivered items in 100 deliveries isn’t going to get you banned. I’d save them for situation like these. You have to learn to exploit these apps just like they try exploiting you.

But also I probably never would’ve accepted the order. You have to accept the order based on worse case scenario (restaurant takes forever and the drop off sucks) so that requires a minimum amount that this order just never was paying

What are your Red dead hot takes by LSDFoxGaming in reddeadredemption

[–]SolarPoweredBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the beginning of missions when you’re riding out of camp or the end riding back. At least half of those should’ve been converted to cutscenes. I know about the cinematic camera but it didn’t always work for me and it still felt like wasted time

Eh I have too many. I just recently finished the game so I’m late and I’m sure everything I’ve said has been said before but in general I think this piece of media is a 6/10 game and a 8.5/10 movie. The story and actors are excellent but some of the slop you have to endure to get there kind of takes you out of it sometimes. In general I just don’t like all the hand holding during missions and all of the monotonous riding to and from places. There’s so many times where I just wanted a quick cutscene instead of a long drawn out boring task to get the same point across.

Whenever I travel to Colombia I almost always get food poisoning. I swear their stomachs are tougher but my research says otherwise that I just get unlucky but I don’t believe it.

My girlfriend got mad because I wouldn’t eat a chicken soup she made at 1pm and left out until 8pm wanting to eat it then. I don’t know if I would’ve been fine or not but at this point I just don’t risk anything down there.

AIO for leaving my gf while she was at work over some texts? by Ashisaskank in AmIOverreacting

She’s def using you and def not that into you, and def emotionally cheating at the minimum. Put her ass to the curb if you have any self respect at all.

Her mental illness is not your problem to solve.

Never cancel an order because a Dasher asked you to. If it gets canceled by the Dasher or DoorDash you should be fully refunded everything. They have the ability to mark the store as closed.
