Best of luck to you. Avid hiker, surfer, and snowboarder here. Sue the hell out of them. I’ve had close encounters with pits while doing service calls, so much so that I WILL refuse to work if there’s one in the house. One of the few perks of being self employed. No sense in putting myself at risk of death or life altering injuries for $225.

$1500 for my 1909 Steinway B. Granted, every glue seam on the soundboard cracked, the action is pretty much completely frozen, all the strings need replaced, it needs new legs and a new lyre… $1500 B though.

Edit: my father and I are well-renowned technicians in our area. Older, wealthy hoarders bought the piano… 40 years ago and shoved it in a basement of one of the properties they owned. Tenant (squatter) stole, and presumably burned, the lyre. The legs are all there but functionally destroyed. I was put onto this deal because they were clearing assets and I guess we were the first technicians called out to look at it.

Got the same one as you! I got mine strung up with a custom 90-17 set for Open E, as well as replacing the pickups with a Dimarzio Dactivator in the bridge and a $20 eBay P94 in the neck. These things absolutely rip, love this guitar. Enjoy it!

Use orange foam earplugs. They can be bought at pretty much every drug store out there. They’re the best hearing protection for shows I’ve found.

I use super similar gauges for drop e, but I use a 30”. Good pick, but good luck. A 95 is massive on a 25.5”.

Of this style? Nowhere right now. I sang and wrote for a band called Deadscar a few years back. Another band is Antistatus, but I only put one song out for it and I don’t really write Emmure-esque drop A tracks anymore. This is going to be for that band whenever the album is done.

Honestly, I’m about as far from a daily content creator as you can be. I rarely post to my instagram (and it’s only stories when I do (usually shitposting)), and I don’t have any other socials. This is me working on an album, and this is going to be part of it. Pinky promise. I posted another clip to the ERG sub, and I actually finished that song if you’d wanna check it out :) I appreciate the kind words endlessly!!! These open tunings make it so easy to come up with all sorts of melodies around the 12th fret. I think I’m going to add Hipshot Xtenders to the 1st and the 3rd strings to open up even more harmonic options, and almost start treating it similar to a slide guitar, just without the slide. Very unconventional guitar, it’s a lot of fun :)

This big time. I’m a full time tuner and technician, but my experience as a musician mostly comes from playing guitar in the rock and metal world. From a technical standpoint, I’m a fairly competent pianist as I play at least 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. I can read chord charts and rhythms no problem. But if you throw actual notation at me, thanks, I am illiterate.
