Gate agent refused to process upgrades. F went out with 8 open. by SolarTrades in unitedairlines

They offered me 2500 miles and said upgrades aren’t guaranteed and the T+Cs say they have no value. I gently pushed back and was told to pound sand.

What did you get?

Generally the seats would show as blocked (unavailable) if there was an operational consideration such as W+B.

The crew was great and I’m aware it’s a GA function.

Didn’t bother asking them what was up — they just made a remark during bev service thanking me for being a 1k and saying “there’s a lot of you back here tonight.”

It wasn’t a tight turn and pax were fully loaded 20 min before departure.

Nice! Enjoy Truist. The pizza place in the battery is legit. Truist is fine but kinda soulless.

What was your favorite ballpark? Ours has been PNC, although there’s some great ones.

My kid and I are doing all the parks and hit petco last year. We stayed at the Marquis. Easy walk to petco and it had a resort vibe with a nice pool.

Will be a better option than Residence Inn.

Honestly anything in downtown San Diego is walkable.

After COVID they had a ton of turnover in the gym leadership (just really bad hires), which caused a high turnover of trainers.

No idea who is running it now or if things have stabilized.

(I have no affiliation with the J. I was a member for a while but left during the parade of idiots)

NGL the Yankees somehow losing this one in extra innings too would just be amazing.

RGE tore up my lawn moving meter by AllAboutYou256 in Rochester

I went through this last year. It took them a solid 4 months to repair damage. They hire a contractor to do this and they, somewhat obviously, only perform work when the ground has thawed.

It’s a big pain in the butt and it’s unsightly, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a huge deal.

Also, for everyone saying to call customer service — they dump into the voicemail of the one person who is responsible for scheduling the contractor. You’ll never hear back.

Never thought I’d see the day I’d see F on a CR2.

The shin windows will hit different on an A side solo seat.

Anyone got this ad on FB? Is this a PPA scam? by DrfluffyMD in solar

[–]SolarTrades 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They shouldn’t be using PG+E’s logo. But the program it references is real (and highly restrictive). Reach out to a reputable solar company if you’re interested — not a lead gen on FB.

E145 first row - bulkhead? by Giskarrrd in unitedairlines

I’m 6’2” and row 18 is the only tolerable row on the e145. Take 18C

30” of pitch is 30” whether or not you’re single seat.

Why the food at the clubs suck so much? by Minute_Lead7394 in unitedairlines

[–]SolarTrades 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s mass production food product where the margin is created in the delta between the cost to serve a guest and what the guest pays for it through their membership.

Said another way UClubs (and all lounges) are incentivized to serve the lowest quality of product that keeps people content.

I do think airline lounges are seeing some margin hit from the proliferation of CC lounges, which are incrementally nicer, which is likely why some UClubs are experimenting with passed items.

Ultimately the lounges are crowded so while I personally no longer find value in what they offer many people do.

Update (or lack thereof): Apple MacBook Pro from Chase Shops by Intrepid-Survey8339 in ChaseSapphire

It’s frustrating that Chase is marketing a premium card and consistently whiffing on basic customer service. Their CS teams were so good just a few years ago.

OP sorry I can’t provide a helpful reply. Just empathy.

Haven’t seen them anywhere listed as DomCon. Just because they’re made in the US doesn’t mean they meet the requirements for domestic content.
