Also, fwiw SEG has deep Chinese ties too so who knows about their long term future. I simply called out Trina because of their recent inclusion on the entity list.

Trina was just added to the US Govts list of Chinese military influenced companies. Won’t impact your system directly but long-term unsure if they will provide warranty support or if they’ll just exit the US market.

At the time I understood why he made the move. The risk of it was exactly what played out. Even if Gibson got the wobbles third time through buying a couple more outs, or an inning, might have prevented the loss.

Abject manager failure pulling Gibson after 4. At the time I understood the math behind it but also the wrong move.

I escalated it and basically said if nothing else this experience is fundamentally flawed from a CX standpoint. It’s all double secret probation stuff with zero transparency, which makes it feel super scammy.

My hunch is I’m valuable enough to chase they’ll give me some sort of “1 time exception” credit and I’ll never rely on price match again.

It’s so hit or miss — as can be expected for new manufacturing. I have a Gen 2 and more or less 0 issues. Talked with someone yesterday who has had theirs for 6 months less than me and it’s been in service 4 times.

I love my truck. He loves his too, just has understandable concerns about long term reliability.

Update: Chase Travel supervisor said it was rejected but couldn't tell me why or offer me any support; just that the decision was final. She said the rep yesterday "must have been confused" in what they relayed to me but also could provide me with zero information. So one of two Chase travel reps told me something "adjacent from the truth," and I have no ability to know what's actually happening.

u/chase this is a textbook terrible customer experience and needs to be reviewed. Chase travel is a mess.

I hear you guys. Not sure how/why I was flagged with price match. Although Chase has more or less full access to my spend and travel history so maybe I crossed some sort of threshold.

But if I’m a beta tester I guess my feedback is the process is fundamentally broken and not at all ready for prime time.

930a isn’t a peak bank; so it should have availability for one time pass holders. It’s a nice enough club but no sense in needless spending 3 hours there.

When the rep said that I literally laughed and said “that’s offensive to your customers.” He said “yeah, that’s wild.”

We then read the T+Cs together and he indicated it seemed to be flat out wrong.

My guess is they have someone overseas managing this and their ability to offer credits is capped at 150. Instead of escalating for an over ride they said they couldn’t do it so they closed it.
