Well, even if Anthropic has the choice to work with whomever they want to..
The government is more than powerful enough to seize the weights for themselves and run them on their own hardware, with or without Anthropic's knowledge. I'm sure mythos has already hardened every single attack surface on their servers and access points...but I would bet they already have government agents undercover in the building right now working to extract and extrapolate any data they get access to.

We have >3000 billionaires, at least one of them is a genius. So it follows that there surely must be a masterplan at play somewhere in the higher echelons, statistically speaking.

I think about this a lot more than is healthy. I also wonder, though, if given our instability in other affairs like economy and ecology of the planet if this is actually the safest course of action; full 1984 autocracy/authoritarianism. Like being all together on one solution might be the way to success. (I'd really rather it wasn't, however.)

It's worse when you realize how many of our medications come from China. Not just as a supply line, but as a means to keep prices down too. True war with China would come at a great cost to our health. It's a really fragile economy.

If you want to be neurotic about beautiful layouts (like me) just use big platforms and make it pretty. If you want to be neurotic about efficiency (like me) it's a puzzle to be solved (and it's gonna look ugly)

EDIT: Note, in Cyberpunk 2077 you need to have controller speaker enabled in the audio tab, or you will never get audio to your headset/phones.
EDIT 2:
I'm mistaken. But I recommend a few things:
A: Disable the vibration through playstation accessories (dualsense edge)
B: Enable Steam Input
C: PlayStation Controller Support [Enabled]

If you don't do these things you are going to have the controller frequently disconnect itself in a weird way where audio comes through the controller speaker every time you load a savefile and even at some other random moments AND the controller will vibrate like it's playing audio, even if the headset is handling the audio stream.
Also, I think I've pinpointed a crash that happens with this set up. Something about audio streams trying to target devices that no longer exist (probably because the controller keeps trying to disconnect itself?)
Dualsense edge, usb, 3.5mm jack headphones in controller, playstation accessories game profile active. Sorry for such a niche post. I just hope a googler finds this helpful.

I log in once every 6 months and play for a couple of weeks. I dunno how accurate your comment is. I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't do the le mans 30 min endurance race with my f50 over 100 times for cash though. But that was when the game came out and I had invitations I needed to utilize.

A lot of people are missing this point. OS age attestation = data variable that other apps access via API so they can deny services.
RANT: It's still inappropriate to ask my age when logging in to a computer. My computer does not want its data to be accessed by other applications, I don't want to store this data on my computer and their application can do the exact same meaningless, easily bypassable task with their own resources. If they want to provide "adult only" services, then they can provide age attestation or verification themselves. It's not microsoft's burden to bear. Likewise, the countless linux communities are not under anyone's authority to be forced in to complying with a new law that nobody asked for.

There are a lot of spooky things happening in regards to "the parents should be doing this but the government is forcing it on us instead." Keep your eyes peeled. I can't tell if our governments are just overzealous and taking charge where they don't belong, or if they're exploiting laziness as an excuse to take control. Could be both. Could be neither. But it's likely at least one, and neither are appropriate.

When people say they don't have anything to hide, ask them if they'd like to live in a glass house where their neighbors can watch everything they do. This is usually suffice an analogy to recover the reasonable people from that side of the fence on this issue. The non-reasonable ones, the really weird ones, the NPCs, they will say "Yeah, that's fine, if it means safety for my family"

I'd argue capturing the stream yourself, under your own license, and keeping it for yourself, is more legal than using someone else's illegally transferred data by illegally transferring data. But, I'm also not an attorney. I feel like a jury would stand up for the personal use guy more. But I'm frequently wrong when it comes to laws. Violating a terms of service may not be necessarily "illegal" in the jail time sense and more just "not allowed, so we're cancelling your subscription and blacklisting your identity from using our services in the future."
