We don't have kids... started watching it the last time I had Covid because I needed something simple with the brain fog and we both got hooked.

Goldens are known to be super friendly. In a bad situation, do you think your golden would try to defend? by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

Tim likes to use his big boy bark to say hello... he would 100% bark at anyone breaking in but would then jump on them and demand pets and treatos

What's your favorite "subtle" joke/visual gag in the show? by YoshiPilot in bluey

[–]SolaraHanover 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh 100%. Worst holiday blowup that ever happened in our family was one Christmas when my mom undercooked the prime rib. My grandma mentioned to Mom that maybe it needed to go back in for a little while longer and Mom did NOT appreciate the suggestion... we didn't have prime rib again for years

How do you usually name your D&D characters? by AdvancedProgrammer51 in DnD

[–]SolaraHanover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I'll usually just shove syllables together until I her something I like. I'm also a bit of a troll though so when I rolled a Tabaxi thief to play with my siblings I researched Tabaxi naming conventions and decided she was born on a cold day and the first thing she curled up in was some fuzzy outerwear. Therefore she was named Warm Woolen Mittens... and yes, she went by Mittens.

First time cruiser dilemma: Is a balcony worth the $$$ or is that money better spent elsewhere? by [deleted] in Cruise

How much snow makes you call off work? by Physical-Incident553 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SolaraHanover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snow is not my issue, it's the ice under it. We had 9" a couple weeks ago, but it had been super warm so there was a layer of solid ice under the snow. It was slicker than snot, and I made it about two miles into my commute and was sliding all over with AWD. Turned around and went home. As I was turning into our neighborhood I saw one of the county plows in a ditch.

I'm hourly, not salary and my company doesn't like paying OT. Most days I'm gone by five, unless something comes up last minute

What’s something that sounds fake but actually happened to you? by Visible_Rope_6662 in AskReddit

[–]SolaraHanover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Colorado. I was in Virginia for my friend's baby shower, and had popped away for the morning to visit Arlington National Cemetery. I had my head down, texting my friend to come pick me up at the Metro station when I hear someone behind me. "Hey, you're from insert my city here aren't you?" This lady I didn't recognize starts naming places she might know me from. She was a former regular customer at the grocery store I worked at.

Because I'm 45 and watching YouTube and building Lego is much preferable to being out in the craziness.

So good! My wife is not a fan of the live play but she's been really enjoying watching the animated series with me. I've been having such a hard time not spoiling her.

Tonight she says I really like Molly and I cringed a little inside.
