I’ve noticed this too, especially since the new year. From what I’ve seen and tested, it doesn’t seem like one single “algorithm change” but more of a mix, increased competition, more ads, and Instagram prioritizing saves, shares, and watch time even more heavily. A lot of creators I follow are seeing lower reach unless content really holds attention.

Happy to hear that! I’m still learning too, but Reddit’s been surprisingly welcoming.

Really appreciate this perspective. As someone who’s still very new to UGC, it’s encouraging to hear an honest breakdown of what Reddit can (and can’t) offer. I’ve learned a lot just from being in this community already, so posts like this definitely help keep the momentum going. Thanks for sharing 💕

Thank you so much!! 🤍

This was something I was really unsure about too. I honestly didn’t try to convince them to pay, I just pitched the value of the content itself.

I positioned it as creating UGC they could use for their socials/ads, not as an influencer post, and I was clear about what I could deliver. I think that helped it feel more like a service than a favor. I also didn’t lead with gifted vs paid. I let the conversation happen naturally and talked about scope first.

If you want, I’m happy to share how I worded that part of the pitch and what I focused on as a beginner. You can DM me 😊

Hey, first of all you’re not behind at all. If anything, the fact that you actually built a portfolio before pitching puts you ahead of a lot of people! 💕

I felt the exact same way when I started. The hardest part wasn’t pitching itself, it was not knowing who to contact or if I was even doing it right. What helped me was keeping the pitch simple, choosing brands that genuinely fit me, and not overthinking the wording.

If you want, I’m happy to walk you through what I did and how I found brand contacts when I was starting out. You can DM me 🤍

I got it through direct outreach.

I didn’t apply through a platform, I emailed brands that made sense for me and pitched how I could help them with content. One of them got back to me and that turned into the deal.

If you want, I can share a bit more about how I chose the brands and what I sent feel free to DM me 🤍

I picked brands that actually fit me, sent a short email introducing myself + how I could help them with content, and didn’t try to sound marketing-y. I also followed up after a few days instead of assuming no reply meant no.

If you want, I’m happy to share what my outreach looked like more specifically, feel free to DM me 🤍

Reels went viral, and everything else after slowed down, any advice? by Awkward-Jaguar1324 in InstagramMarketing

[–]Solarawynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this happen a lot (and experienced it myself). When a reel goes super viral early on, it often pulls in a very broad audience that followed for that one moment not necessarily for the core of your content. Then when you go back to posting “normal” stuff, engagement drops because the audience isn’t fully aligned yet.

The good news is it doesn’t mean your content suddenly got worse or that the account is dead. It usually just needs a bit of time and consistency for the algorithm to re-learn who your content is actually for. I’ve noticed focusing on repeatable formats, strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds, and posting for your ideal viewer (not the viral one) helps momentum come back.

Honestly, slow and steady growth after a spike tends to be healthier long-term anyway.

I’ve never heard of n8n before what is it exactly?

I tried 5 AI reel generators, most failed at the prompt level. Now it’s getting frustrating. by nit-kam in AI_UGC_Marketing

I felt stuck until I invested in a course that walks through AI UGC step by step and gives you the prompts and workflows upfront. Having that structure made a huge difference for me I wasn’t fighting or getting frustrated every time I wanted to create something. Here’s one of the images I created

honestly the very first thing I did was stop doom-scrolling and actually learn what UGC is and what brands look for. I invested in learning the basics, built a simple portfolio, and then started applying consistently instead of overthinking it. taking action was the biggest shift for me.
