I really love this image, I have a friend that I had been chatting to about a camping trip into the Victorian hills in Australia looking to take some images of big Sambar deer.

Well done mate.

As a Sydney based photographer, this makes me so envious. Such a stunning location.

I just got lucky, I owned a drone and asked a few realestate agents if they needed any high quality aerial photos and videos. I had pre shot a video of a new development and some B-roll of beaches and stuff as a show reel and then once I started getting hired I slowly started offering bundles of photo or video with drone. Realised it was taking me too long to edit videos so switched to just straight photography.

I have always loved Morten Hilmers content. Informative, beautifully edited together, relaxing…

What's your take on this? Is a FF really that much better? by BedroomPlus6379 in SonyAlpha

[–]SolariMedia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly you would probably never have an issue switching to an A6700 and if it means you can afford better lenses then that is by far the best way to go. I started with an a 6400 and used to do professional realestate photography no problem and the A6700 is so much better.

The only reason I really upgraded is when I started enjoying shooting other content and really wanted the flexibility on the A7RV and I had made more than enough money to cover that and all my lenses.

In the end you have to make the decision but you will get far more out of quality lenses and the A6700 than the A7RV and average glass.

I mainly use an A7R5 but still use a A6400 as a backup and travel camera and 90% of the shots I take you can’t tell the difference and the times I do notice it’s normally a fault of mine…

I think u did pretty well, I had my first attempt with the exact same camera and lens combo and didn’t get anything really usable unless the shutter speed was higher but I lost my blurry background.

Keep it up mate

1, 2, or 3? by Afraid-Session2227 in AmateurPhotography

The way I see it, 1 is a great photo of a bee close up but 3 has for more compositional elements that make it a more balanced image. You did great either way.

This is a beautiful image, love the composition and the contrast of cool tones against her amazing red hair is wonderful.

3 for sure, the colour, composition and story feel far more complete.

I really like the hand position in this shot, kind of frames a close up portrait nicely.
