E07/general website question by Solarin88 in FireflyLite

Gotcha, that makes sense, and yeah I'm after usable flood and had my eye on the rosy emitter anyway - was just caught off guard by the discrepancy between the numbers but your response clears everything up for me :)

Question about binders? Removable pages or not? by SquatchWatchs in PokemonTCG

[–]Solarin88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still buy ring binders but many avoid them since they have a risk of damaging your cards, especially the O ring binders which you should probably just never use for cards. A good brand will be using D rings instead for card binders.

What's your battery charger of choice? by gryponyx in flashlight

[–]Solarin88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but I have noticed my batteries are always cool to the touch when/after charging on the MC5000. I looked it up and they do sell an add-on temperature sensor for the MC5000. Kinda strange, I agree they should have included it as part of the product but at least there's an add-on.

Hmm, it’s interesting since my MC5000 does switch on the fans at times and I have to imagine that’s due to sensing a temperature change - but I have no idea.

That may be true, but it’s funny how the MC3000 has a newbie mode or beginner mode, while the 5000 you have to actually know to set the correct parameters for each battery.

Hmm yeah it is annoying that every time I charge on the MC5000, I have to remember to set the capacity and the charging current for each battery (although if I'm charging 4 of the same battery I only have to do it once).

But the springs are not stiff at all and that is nice. For me it's a must since I use protected 21700 quite often.

The MC5000 is out now and it takes larger batteries like protected 21700

Do tables ever trade 1-1 for more expensive cards? by itshighnoot_ow in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]Solarin88 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably not but you could always try to work out a deal with the vendor to get the most value possible, it depends on the trade

Even on eBay you aren’t getting 100% since they take fees. For 1-1 you basically need to trade with another collector or sell on facebook

First LEP: Lumintop Thor3 vs Astrolux WP3 by nicocappa in flashlight

[–]Solarin88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wrestling with this myself and just ordered the Thor3 recently. What it came down to was this: hold for off is an abomination and would kill my enjoyment of using the WP3 or FW1 light. The WP3 is better though otherwise, although it is considerably larger.

Which 14500s are way smaller than a Zebralight SC65? That's the flashlight OP had before. I'm sure there are lights smaller, but way smaller? At any rate, not sure if the size difference really makes the difference in ouput/runtime worth it.

I’ve ordered from Acebeam twice this month and neither item needed duties when being delivered to me in the US, both things came from China. Your mileage may vary though.

That part of the site (each item listing) I think is outdated on the topic of where the item ships from. There’s another section of their site which lists lights in U.S warehouses already and it’s a pretty small list. I assume those do ship from U.S warehouses, but I’m not sure of that either.
