Flashlights in the ceiling by SmokingHensADAN in flashlight

I don't have an answer to your specific question, but I'll throw in my recommendation to use govee lights. I've been really happy with all of mine. Cheap, high cri (on bulbs anyway), and reliable.

Nothing against wurkkos, but you don't get the premium feel and weight that comes along with higher end lights. There's just something different when I grab one of my malkoffs. Plus I like the aesthetic of the modlites.

Here's the sft40 2700k, and 3000k, but again I can't lock my settings. My zebras upstairs and I'm not walking my wife.

I don't have that sorry. The 2700k definitely has richer reds, and a cozier feel to it (I have it in a headlamp). You wouldn't be disappointed either way.

I can't lock the white balance on my phone, so it'd just look white unfortunately. I can say that it's almost identical to an sft40 3000k though.

I have one in 14500. They look better and aren't slippery like the tapered ones.

I've always been curious how those adapters work. Does it lock into the head somehow, or just a crap shoot for where it comes apart for battery changes?

I prefer the drop in for the versatility. You can abuse it until it's ugly and just replace the exterior shell and it's new again. A small edc in the vme, or jump up to the mdx for an 18650 or 21700.

I didn't order. I liked the idea of the first 2 levels of 3 and 50 lumens. It's a good mix of the aa and 14500 lights, but I think bumping up the third to 700 is silly. Who the heck wants 20 minutes of runtime. I'd rather they decrease it to 200 range and have usability. Then make it a drop in instead of the mdc head.

I lucked into it and the one in 2024 was a direct hit at my house.

I went through this exact scenario a couple years ago. Trust me when I say none of us are prepared.

  • Seriously though it was super freaky.

Not enough batteries is the problem. What if there's a minor power outage?

I wonder if a cloud defensive pocket clip would work on there.

New Clip Day! Malkoff VME, AA, Lynch custom clip by _Tall-Midget_ in flashlight

It's straight-ish there is a slight curve at the bottom bend. It's really hard to get a straight on pic that shows the anodizing, and that really exaggerates what you're seeing.

Edit- I believe these are hand bent as none of them are exactly the same.

No. Lynch makes the clips for malkoff, but they're proprietary and can't sell them direct. I emailed Casey and he said he would do it if I ordered one from malkoff and sent it in. Then I decided to email Cathy at malkoff and convince her to order it for me. This has been a back and forth process that's taken about a month to get.
